The doctor Anshul Varshney is a scammer who works together with Dr. Katee Quach to deceive people. Katee Quach referred me to Anshul because she claimed I had the "beginning stages" of glaucoma and that I needed him to evaluate me to see if I should have surgery. On top of this (at the time I didn't know), the double vision I was experiencing was entirely caused by Katee Quach's wrong eyeglass prescription. When I went to see Anshul, he told me that I needed surgery for glaucoma and strabismus, otherwise I would continue to see double. He even told me: "Either you do strabismus surgery, or you get used to seeing double for the rest of your life." He never once considered that the double vision could have been caused by the incorrect prescription I was given. I followed my heart and intuition and refused to let them operate on me. Instead, I traveled back to Argentina to see my lifelong doctors. The moment they saw me, they completely ruled out glaucoma. They explained that glaucoma is something you either have or you don't, there's no such thing as being in the "beginning stages" of it. I don't even have high pressure! They also dismissed the idea of strabismus surgery and confirmed what I already feared: my double vision wasn't real, it was simply caused by the bad prescription Katee Quach had given me. In conclusion, this office and this doctor who calls himself "the best ophthalmologist in California" tried to push me into surgeries I never needed, for conditions I didn't even have! Thank God I didn't let them touch my eyes. I honestly don't know what condition I would be in today if I had. This situation is so serious that I am even considering taking legal action against both of these so called professionals, who were willing to ruin my vision just to fill their pockets.

Went in today after a referral from my primary doctor and I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Varshney is great! He is so professional and kind. His team is great! Thankfully, my health doesn't require me to go back for a year but, I'll be glad when that appointment comes up!!! Thanks to a great team!
I am uninsured and I am losing my vision as a result of cataracts. My usual optometrist could not treat my problem, so she referred me to Dr. Varshney, who accepts cash payments. I did not expect to be treated with such dignity and compassion. Dr. Varshney is meticulous, skilled, and qualified to do any kind of treatment an eye patient needs. He is also compassionate, respectful, flexible, and has never left me with a feeling of not being his favorite patient. I've been having extensive dealings with him lately because of my vision loss, and he and his staff never fail to treat me like royalty. I can't recommend him and his office highly enough.
My nephew was suffering from critical eye pressure and was referred to Dr. Varshney by a E.R. Though his insurance was out of network, Dr. Varshney saw and treated him. My nephew is a full time student with minimal income. Dr. Varshney not only treated him for free, he came in on a off day to ensure my nephew responded to the treatment. He saved my nephews vision. We thank you for your kindness and compassion. The world is a better place because of people like Dr. Varshney. We WILL pay it forward. Peace be with you. Sincerely, Terri Hughes
I called Dr. Varshney Anshul at 8 am this morning and left a message panicked about a possible corneal ulcer. He himself called me back within 15 minutes, and offered to see me on his day off at 9:30 that same morning (a Saturday). He came in casual clothes and helped me with such a wonderful attitude and immense care and compassion. He did not charge me for coming in on his day off, and made me feel like my health was important to him rather than blowing me off, or being transferred to an automated voice machine like SO many other offices had. He was thorough in explaining what was wrong with my eye and answered any questions I had. In my time of panic and immense anxiety, Dr. Varshney Anshul helped me in one of my worst moments. He is an INCREDIBLE doctor, and if you're looking to get care from an OPHTHALMOLOGIST, I STRONGLY recommend him. Thank you again for seeing me even when you weren't open due to my emergency (corneal ulcers can cause permanent blindness within a matter of hours if not treated depending on the type of bacteria in the eye). I cannot thank you enough for what you've done for me.
