Very disappointing experience at the Cincinnati Eye (Blue Ash location). This is now our second visit with extremely long wait times and poor communication. During our recent appointment, we waited almost 3 hours without any updates from staff. Eventually, when we asked, we were told the doctor was actually on vacation—yet they had still scheduled our appointment. This is unacceptable and shows a serious lack of coordination and respect for patients’ time. Unfortunately, this is not the first time we’ve experienced this. On our previous visit, we waited nearly 5 hours, even though we were eventually seen by the doctor. Even the doctor acknowledged that the wait time was far too long. The situation became even worse when Megan, the Glaucoma Manager, got involved. Her behavior was very rude and unprofessional, and as a manager, she should know how to treat patients with respect. I do want to recognize Cara Rector, who was extremely kind, professional, and helpful. She did her best to handle the situation and support us, which we truly appreciated. Overall, this office needs serious improvement in scheduling, communication, and management behavior.

I had no vision in my left eye for close to five years following a retinal reattachment surgery. This surgery caused a cataract to occur on my eye. Dr. Aaron Kaufman removed the cataract and I now have my vision back in my left eye! GOD told me: all things are possible with GOD. I kept the faith, but it was a long time before my vision was restored. I love ❤️ the way that Dr. Kaufman gives his full attention to his patient and does not rush the process. My office wait times were not at all excessive, and I would not have complained if they were excessive. A superior doctor is worth that and more!! Dr. Kaufman told me, regarding the vision chart, I will have you reading it when I am finished (after surgery). At that point, I could not see the biggest letter on it—nothing. I thought to myself: that sure sounds like a bold statement of faith. I absolutely believe GOD worked a miracle through Dr. Kaufman. It is pure bliss to have vision back in my left eye! Obviously, the retina specialist did phenomenal work, also. I just know that I have vision in my left eye now, after the surgery that Dr. Kaufman performed.

I went to CEI for the first time from a referral by my primary care doctor. I was extremely disappointed with my experience. I was there for 1 hour and 40 minutes before actually seeing the Dr and then when I finally did I didn't even get anything all that helpful from the conversation. The experience would have been better if I knew to expect 2+ hours of my day to be taken up for a 10 minute conversation with the Dr. If I can help it, I will not be returning -- who has 2+ hours of time in their day for one appointment? I know I don't!

Flew to Cincinnati to CEI from Maine for cataract removal. My husband has a very rare eye condition which makes it difficult to have a cataract removed. Nanothalma. His left eye had been done in Boston 4 years back. Not the best result. So we sought a different surgeon to do his right eye. We found Dr. Snyder through our glaucoma specialist in Portland Maine. I wish I could tell you the whole story as there were some setbacks on our part once we got down there. Nothing to do with Dr. Snyder or CEI. We were greeted at the desk first off. They are the frontline people and we got a good feeling when we came into the practice. Special shout out to Amber at the front desk. She has the gift of listening and following procedure. Just loved her. Everyone that was involved took care of us. I can’t begin to tell you about the professionalism, dedication and kindness that was expressed to us. Prior to seeing Dr. Snyder an assistant comes in and does preliminary work to prepare for Dr. Snyder. He takes that info and continues the assessment. His actual time with you is sufficient if one thinks about that. Dr. Snyder knows what he is doing, gives you the info, makes sure you understand and is on to the next patient and that’s what I need him to do for us and for others that need his care. Tells us to call if there are any problems. He gave my husband back his sight. That’s all I care about. His life will be better. Our deepest appreciation to them all. Phenomenal team of people.
