Clarkson Eyecare - Ballwin

When I got to the office I was a little nervous about switching doctors, but Dakota and Lauren gave reassurance and good conversation while I waited. I saw Dr. Portell for an eye exam. He was friendly and thorough in explaining vision care needs. Maddie then spent over 40 minutes because I kept being indecisive with which frames I wanted, running different options to get both contacts and new glasses. Best vision care experience I have had since moving to Missouri! I highly recommend this location :)

It has been over two months and my contacts were never shipped, even though I paid for them in full. At my appointment, the manager told me that if I didn’t call by Friday they would automatically ship them. That was the agreement when I checked out and the expectation I left with. When I called to ask about the delay, there was no apology. Instead, I was told it was my responsibility to call back and that they have no responsibility to ship contacts unless the patient calls, even if they’ve already been paid for. The manager was extremely rude and refused to issue a refund. Because of the delay, the manufacturer rebate is now likely invalid. This is the third Clarkson EyeCare location I’ve visited. I specifically chose this one because I had great experiences at the Kingshighway and Ellisville offices. Unfortunately this location was the complete opposite. Skip this location. If you need Clarkson EyeCare, I would recommend the Ellisville or Kingshighway offices instead.

The process from start to finish was easy. The staff was great and so welcoming. The pre-exam check in, the exam process and then finding frames was flawless. Great selection of frames. Could not have had a better experience!

I ordered and paid for contacts in January and it’s now April. We agreed they would ship unless I called to change the order, but they were never sent. The manager was extremely unprofessional and the interaction was very disrespectful. This is not the standard I’ve experienced at other Clarkson EyeCare locations. Very disappointing.

Had a lovely experience from the actual eye appt to choosing the glasses, everyone was super nice! Big special shout out to Ariel helping me choose the perfect pair of glasses and explaining fees, payments etc. Couldn't recommend this office enough!! :)
