I have been seeing Dr. Murakami for well over a decade (previously Dr. Schmalle and currently Dr. Cheu as well) and always enjoyed my experience at this office. Everyone is always very friendly and always helping me to better understand my eyesight. I have always understood that they charged on the higher end even with insurance, but always came back because of my amazing experience with them. The reason for the 3 stars and why I probably won't be returning as a patient is because 1) their 3rd party billing service provider does things super weird: not providing all the information upfront - had to call multiple times to finally get the clarification I needed, and sending me a bill 4 months later after I had already made a payment in-person 2) they are out-of-network for VSP (their website doesn't provide what insurance they accept). Just my experiences and why the cost doesn't justify it to me anymore.

I been seeing Dr. Murakami for a number of years. She’s always been thorough and takes the time to explain my conditions during each exam. It’s also great that she addresses each concern I have and puts it in layman’s terms for me to understand.

I've been seeing Dr. Murakami for almost 10 years. She is professional, extremely knowledgeable and always takes her time addressing any questions or concerns. She has also been highly responsive and helpful during emergencies (i.e. when I had an eye issue days before a surf trip to a remote area). In contrast to other medical providers, I've never had long waits past my scheduled appointment times, and she clearly respects her patients' time. Her location is conveniently located. I can highly recommend her services.

BEST EYE DOCTORS EVER! Saw Dr. Murakami because I felt there was something wrong with my vision but other doctors I've been to said my eyes were fine. Dr. Murakami accurately found how to correct my eyesight and find me glasses that made my headaches disappear! Her kindness and her teams customer service is unmatched as well. Definitely a 10/10, please go here for all eye doctor needs!

Make sure to get your PD measurement if you are going to buy glasses online. If you dont they will make you pay for another visit, even if had your perscription and PD checked the day before.
