EXTREMELY rude and downright harassment from the staff. In my opinion. The office needs to record all phone calls that their staff answers because they are downright unhinged, in my opinion. The "office manager" which, I highly doubt she was, screamed at me, banned me and the rest of my family without Dr. Clerico's permission. They intercepted a CONFIDENTIAL email to him and would NOT let me speak to him. We've been patients of his for many years. The "office manager" said I need psychological help, severely and that I'm a grown woman, why are you getting your father to call?" I WILL TELL YOU WHY! The rude staff that answered the phone (male) was extremely argumentative about a simple Medicaid question. I just said thank you and hung up. HE CALLED ME BACK!? Entitled that he was "hung up on". I tried to call Dr. Ellington's office to see if I could switch to his office since the staff seemed unhinged in my opinion. Same guy answered the phone and immediately was rude, said Dr. Ellington DOES NOT FIT FOR CONTACTS. Which is not what his office told me when I went there. He then proceeded to argue with me again, TWIST MY WORDS and said he is banning me from the office? Because he "doesn't like my comments". I hung up and went to my father's home, so we could call and ask for the office manager because he was blocking ALL communication with anyone else. He saw the caller ID and asked if this about me, my 81 year old father, said yes. Whi is also a patient there. He proceeded to lie. I got on the other phone and heard it. A very young, unprofessional girl that claimed she was the office manager said our entire family was banned. This male staff member pushed us until I did call him satanic. In my opinion, anyone who acts like this, especially TOWARDS my 81 year old father, IS EVIL. I wrote an email to Dr. Clerico. THEY intercepted it and called me back only to CONTINUE to insult me over the phone, scream at me, talk over me and ask for my address on top of it?? No way? I even apologized for the satan comment. "IT'S PAST APOLOGIES!!" There is ZERO reasoning with these people and they are EXTREMELY unhinged in my STRONG opinion. North Point Blvd. Location. Please see other reviews about the staff.

The worst ever I have to deal unprofessional customer service. Bill been received after over 8 months and threatened to be made or sent to collections agency. And bill should been paid by my insurance and now they saying it's my fault. And the worse thing when you call and try to talk to them the first they trying to get in your nerves by claiming that you raising voice and hung up on you and too many talking in one time in the back
If you have medicaid please brace yourself to be talked to like a dog by Terry Ellington. He will insult you the moment he sees you and if you do not understand his medical terminology you will be insulted and belittled by him. I dont know who raised this guy but he is lacking in self decency. I've had eye exams all my life since I was little but this was the first eye exam and visit where I was made to feel so uncomfortable. Im absolutely astonished by people who claim their Christians and how nasty and rude they can be to a total stranger. With that being said the front office staff very unprofessional. The women with the black hair clearly doesn't know how or understand how to do her job. She tells me I have medicaid family planning which is wrong I have medicaid direct. Also if your a customer that has medicaid you will be treated less than and as an outcast especially by the eye doctor terry Ellington. Also the front staff will lie and say they sent you a text about your glasses ready for pick up. That is an absolute lie and I have proof there was no text phone call email regarding picking up my glasses. Im so glad I could do these people's jobs for them. Its no wonder they've got now hiring signs on their front door for front desk help. I completely understand the other bad customer reviews about clearveiw optometry. Extremely unprofessional eye doctor with very unprofessional staff.
It's unfortunate that the office is staff is so rude, manager included because Dr. Clerico is so nice and professional. I love his honesty and thorough explainiation of the exam. Victor is kind and super helpful. However, when it comes to the rest of the staff, manager included, I have NEVER been treated more rudely or unprofessionally in a medical office before in my life! I don't know what is going on with them but their unwillingness to help, constant lies and excuses oozes incompetenance. I have been put on hold, I have been hung up on and it's for these reasons I am leaving this practice. I would not recommend this office to anyone.
I have been a patient of Dr. Clerico for over 15 years, and I’ve always trusted his care. Ever since he moved to Clearview Optometry, the level of customer service has dropped tremendously. Every time I call, I’m either left on hold for 20–30 minutes or the phone just never gets answered. When someone finally picks up, the communication is unprofessional, and it’s clear the staff doesn’t prioritize patients or quality service. Honestly, I wish I could find the old staff—they were the reason I stayed so long. The experience was completely different back then. Unfortunately, the decline at Clearview Optometry has pushed me to take my business elsewhere.
