They no longer care for the patients. It's gone down hill but the suspicious billing has increase. Somebody call OIG. You check your self in 30 times before the appointment, get there, get handed an IPAD to do it again with not even a hello. No names given, just a lot of what they don't do. What for about 10 minutes go back and sit for 15 minutes, speak to the physician for 5 mins. Then you get a bill for two visit because you were asked if you need a refill. You get the bare minimum now. Your retired physician of 36 years is called "OLD SCHOOL" because they did full exams during your annual. After almost 50 years, I'm looking for a new physician. Talk about stress. So disappointed.

If you are looking for a practice where nobody cares whether you live or die or suffer in between, Clinical Associates Woodholme is the perfect place for you! Sarcasm aside, the practice's main office on the first floor is absolutely awful. (I had a better experience with a clinician who worked out of a separate smaller office on the building's second floor.) It's an over-crowded, impersonal bureaucracy. Just making an appointment by phone or asking a question is a huge hassle. No one ever answers the phone. If you get a call back the same day in response to a message you leave, it's a minor miracle. If your question needs to be addressed by a medical person, it can be 24 hours or more before an administrative person calls you back, then another 24 hours or more before anyone with medical knowledge calls you. My messages sent through the patient portal were routinely ignored. After a visit, I would sometimes get an email with a link to fill out a survey about my experience. But when I tried to submit it, I ALWAYS got an error message about a server problem. In addition, the PCP I saw there (Syma Rizvi) always seemed to be in a rush -- too busy to explain anything or answer my questions clearly. Let alone provide competent medical treatment. I had a terrific PCP (Cris Manko) there for many years. She was so good that I think she was able to compensate for the general office dysfunction -- for example, by responding to messages sent through the patient portal so promptly (or directing her medical assistant to call me) that I didn't need to deal with the indifferent customer service the front desk staff provides. I think Cris also refused to rush patients in and out the way she was supposed to. Since she retired, things there seem to have gone to hell.

As a note, I chose this practice based on the positive reviews, however after taking a second look they all seem generic and almost fake. This establishment doesn’t care. Extremely condescending management, specifically Fran Pena. Incredibly condescending human being. Front staff is hostile and creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. Seems like upper managements attitude trickles down the pyramid of staff. My calls never get returned, no one cares to give you a call back even if it’s refills of vital medication your life depends on.

I came to this practice due to a change in my insurance and NP Tanya Johnson is who i got referred to.. in the few months i’ve seen her it’s SUCKED. i’ve been there multiple times consecutively for the same issues and nothing she has said has been reassuring. I shouldn’t ever be on the verge of tears trying to advocate for myself ever!!! I feel like she doesn’t wanna do her job and just brushes whatever your symptoms are because she doesn’t “see” or “feel” anything. in my 21 years of living i’ve never experienced that , especially from a specialist of color and with us being women of color i was definitely disappointed. i honestly expected better. Even beyond that trying to get in contact with the office is a hassle.. you have to leave a voicemail every SINGLE time! i surely do not recommend this practice to anyone or if need be there are other specialists i’ve been seen by who were very knowledgeable and reassuring.

Dr. Kar and his staff are absolutely amazing! Always responds and listens. If I have to be seen ASAP I have an appointment before I hang up the phone. Simply, the best!
