The dental side of this clinic could benefit from more compassion, especially when working with younger patients. I’m specifically referring to Dr. Elnaz Yazdanbakhsh. I brought my younger sister in for a simple filling, and like many people—especially kids/teenagers—she has a fear of dental procedures and needles. Instead of addressing her fear with patience or reassurance, the dentist responded by saying, “Dude, how old are you, like?” This felt dismissive and inappropriate. Fear of dental work is extremely common, even among adults, and it should be handled with understanding—not embarrassment. As a provider, especially one working with pediatric patients, professionalism and empathy are essential. Experiences like this are a big reason why people avoid going to the dentist altogether! I don’t usually leave reviews or complaints, but this interaction was genuinely disappointing and unprofessional.

First time coming here for my youngest daughter, nurse RUTH was so very kind and hands on with my baby girl. Very patient and friendly , talking to my baby throughout the whole time and very gentle and kind through the whole visit. She really made me want to come back here in the future because of her kindness. Also Dr. Smith was very patient and soft spoken. Thank you guys and especially to nurse Ruth !!
This place is terrible! I made an appointment for a toothache. They had me there with extremely severe pain I told them that, they took X-rays just 2, to tell me that I need to go to a specialist. They refused to pull it out because they were afraid it might break. I was like are you serious? Let it break, is hurting me a lot don’t you care? The provider, dentist name was Shehata DDS, Marina she didn’t help me. Than they prescribed Tylenol and Ibuprofen 400mg is she alright? I even asked the pharmacist if they were ok? I told them I’m good, that’s just not going to do anything for me. I called a manager since Friday, no call back till today. The call was just to tell me that I need to go to a Specialist and manager said she’s going to talk to a different provider see if she can prescribe some stronger medication. Are you serious? This place was just concerned for a $40 fee that’s it. Forget me. I will never go to this place again. The only reason I gave them one star was due to them taking me in right away. That was the only good thing they did for me. Other than that, they are just terrible! They don’t care. And now they’ve sent me a bill of $151 for 2 X-rays. They had looked at my income the manager had approved it for a $40 fee not this much! They didn’t help me at all, and now they’ve sent want this much money for the visit ? Are you serious? Are they hurting that BAD. I called the manager at the Colonia location because that’s where my visit was, left a message because according to Sonia she doesn’t have a voicemail and I never got a call back! This place is terrible.
I had a very pleasant experience at the clinic. The nurse that had taken my blood pressure and other vitals was really patient and I felt like I could speak to her rather easily. I also had my blood drawn by her, and she hit it right the first time. The doctor that checked in with me was also a very comfortable and friendly woman who knew her stuff.
The building was pretty clean but there was no parking. I’m giving two stars because the pediatrician was very helpful. The nurse they had us with must have been training still. When it was time to check the weight and length of my baby I asked if I needed to fully undress her because that’s what they always made me do, and she said no and when we got to the scale she couldn’t even tell us correct weight, she was saying the ounces was the pounds and had to ask for assistance, when the more experienced nurse came she corrected her and told her that our baby needed to be fully undressed like I asked. This nurse was the nurse who gave our baby her vaccines. I should have said something sooner because she didn’t even know how to open the packaging for the oral vaccine, and when she gave the shot, she had to ask which shot needed to go in which leg, and she basically stabbed my daughter. She did it with so much force that I haven’t seen anything like that before. My appointment that usually takes less than an hour took two hours at this location. And when we were leaving, my daughter was screaming crying and they still try to make us wait to schedule her next appointment. We just left the papers on the counter and walked out. I will never come back to this location.
