I have been to the clinics in Kingsville and Alice, both of which have kind and professional staff and technicians. Dr Echeveria has been my regular eye exam provider and has been excellent. Dr Moore did one cataract surgery at the main clinic in Corpus 8 days ago and it went very well. I am still recovering. Dr E has done 2 post-op follow up exams with excellent care and assurances. I am having my second cataract surgery in 7 days with Dr Moore and expect it to be the same good experience as the first. I do recommend Coastal Bend Eye Center and the extension clinics in Kingsville & Alice which I have knowledge of. I am sure the other extension clinics have the same quality of care.

I was in 10/10 pain and with no appointment at all walked in and they were able to bring me back within a couple of minutes from finishing my paperwork with a lobby of full of patients. With no insurance and cash patient they had affordable exam prices. Upon examination they quickly relieved me of the pain I was feeling. Between google AI, reddit, and youtube horror stories of people who had the same substance in their eye i was expecting to have blurry vision for weeks. The front desk personnel, Saleste, was empathetic to see the pain I was in to get me back fast. Carolina was amazing to assess the severe pain I was in to escalate and expedite the relief with the numbing drops. The PA Sofia and Dr Harrison both reassured it shouldnt take that long to heal and that I will be okay. Both giving me seperate examinations and both coming to same conclusion definitely made me feel so much better mentally with how blurry vision was and the extreme pain i was in. That was the most important thing to know that I will be able to return to my 20/20 vision and it wouldnt take weeks. Two days later I returned for post op visit and it was just as pleasant as my first visit. Thank you all so much for taking great care of me!!! I absolutely appreciate the team you have here.
It honestly feels disrespectful to the rating integrity to give this place even one star. My sister was referred by the ER and her primary care to this eye care center. She was having a medical emergency and as it says on the website, they are supposed to provide “excellent comprehensive medical and surgical eye care” and that they do “thorough eye exams”. That description on the official company website is a deceptive description of the services she received. The doctor, Dr. Nancy Harrison to be exact, performed the examination on her and said her eye was dry. In spite of it being visible that half of her face was swollen and she had lost vision in the eye. Luckily she was able to get a second opinion from another eye doctor from Stanton Optical that noticed a scratch on her cornea. Now if the company site depiction was correct, Dr. Harrison was supposed to perform a “thorough eye exams”. Now she is a doctor that has been in practice since 1990. So was it sheer negligence of patient care or the lack of effort that cause the misdiagnosis? Something a doctor that has been in practice since 36 years shouldn’t be missing. If you genuinely want to have excellent care for your eyes, you would avoid this place.
The doctors are great, but the staff at the counters are rude. They don't even acknowledge you when you approach the counter. Abby who sits on side of the counter is the worst. She carries a scowl on her face and has no people skills . I tried to ask for the office manager, but of course, no one asked if they could me. I was late for work
Never answer their phone, I swear they just forward an forward your calls. Doctors are nice but they need to replace their MOS because they are losing business. BECAUSE JUST LIKE MYSELF I TOO DONT WANT TO HAVE TO GO IN PERSON TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT!!!
