A huge “Thank You” to the wonderful people at the Alvin Coastal Eye Associates! Though I was an hour and 15 minutes early, and invaded their lunch time, they graciously gave me my appointment early, saving me a second trip from Friendswood. I’ve used Coastal Eye for many years…since Dr Lipsky started the practice in Clear Lake, and can honestly say, I’ve never had a complaint. They are “well worth the occasional wait”
This office is and has always been extremely slow you have to wait 45-60 minutes for your scheduled appointment and the staff is always rude and not kind. I only went when Dr Moffit joined and will never go back to the Alvin clinic. This is from multiple experiences there. I will go to the Webster office from now on. They are nice and efficient.
The tech who took me to the back, I believe her name was Laura, exhibited a very flat affect. She clearly lacks interpersonal skills. She would be better suited for a position at a veterinary office where poor bedside manner is less significant. The other staff members were polite during the examination process; however, when I called back to request an itemized receipt, Victoria answered and she was clearly irritated at my questions. She informed me that it would take three weeks for the claim to be processed through their billing department (which is located in another state) and instructed me to call her back in a week so she could print a detailed receipt for me. What a peculiar billing process! Overall, my experience today was quite unpleasant. They seem to have little regard for the individuals they serve. The staff could benefit from a course on being more welcoming. I will not be going back.
Coastal Eye Associates has been evaluating and treating my eyes for more than a decade. Dr. Dunn takes special care of my vision due to a family history of glaucoma and macular degeneration and I am very grateful of her expertise. The staff in the Alvin office is efficient and personable and making appointments is easy. I recommend Coastal Eye Associates for your vision needs.
