Edit: While I felt taken care of, I think they could've been more honest about the pricing. From reviewing the claims they filed with my insurance, I now see that much of the cost was not covered by insurance. I have a high prescription and ended up paying 529 my first visit for the lenses (the frames were "free"), and 139 in the second visit for a dilation exam, bringing to a total of 668 after insurance. When I called my insurance rep, she reached out to them and was given a different breakdown of the 668 total: 399 for high-index prescription lenses, 189 for retinal screening, and 80 for the anti-glare lense add-on. The different numbers are throwing me, but I got the service I needed, and will be more careful going forward. Came in for a vision test report to renew my driver's license. The staff were fantastic and patient with all my questions. They accepted my vision insurance (Spectera through United Healthcare). I also ended up getting a dilation exam and new glasses with my HSA

If I can give 0 stars I would. I was lied to multiple times, presented misleading prices, pressured into purchasing more contacts than I needed, and treated poorly when asked for a cancellation immediately post transaction. I came in for a routine eye exam recently that I was told over the phone that would cost $149 without insurance. I was then charged $199 because I have astigmatism, and the $149 was supposedly for a basic check only. The sales associates did not inform me of this until I asked. On top of that, I was pressured into purchasing 12 months worth of daily contacts. The store manager Leah rushed me while threw around words like rebate and extra 2 months and explained how it is a great deal. I asked for calculations again before payment but she convinced me it was a good deal. I was not provided any digital or physical receipts after payment, and within 30 minutes of paying, I came back to the store to ask for a cancellation of my order because it was overpriced, out of my budget, and I knew I was pressured by their lack of professionalism. Then, I was lied to by Leah saying it was already shipped. No product can be shipped within 30 minutes of order placement. She then lied about Johnson & Johnson (the supplier) customer service being closed after 5PM. I was able to call J&J customer service at 6:30PM just to be told that the store can still cancel it for me. When I called the store again the next morning, I was told there is no cancellation policy, which I was not told beforehand when I tried to cancel, and when asked for the policy in written form, I was ghosted. I am extremely dissatisfied with the service, starting from overcharging me for the eye exam while hiding the costs, and to very rudely and unprofessionally pressuring a customer into purchasing an unnecessarily number of contacts that are out of budget and refusing to cancel the order when asked immediately. I reached out to Cohen's corporate to authorize a cancellation because the store manager said it has to come from corporate, but corporate explained that each store is its own franchise, and the store manager sets its own rules. I called J&J to call the store, specifically asking for the store manager Leah to authorize canceling my order, and the J&J customer service was repeated put on hold then hung up on, with the last call being put on hold for 10 minutes before being dropped again. Even the J&J customer service person told me they cannot believe a business would conduct its business like this. I would dissuade anyone from using their service. Do NOT come here for any vision services.

Great service and very caring staff! See was extremely helpful and attentive while assisting me with choosing my glasses. Marcy took the time to understand what I needed and gave thoughtful recommendations that suited my face perfectly. The whole experience felt comfortable and professional. I highly recommend this store if you’re looking for quality service and personalized care! 👓✨

PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! These people are scammers. They will charge your card for their overpriced glasses and act as if it’s YOUR problem. I felt strange vibes when I first entered this establishment and wish that I would have just turned away. Be extra careful with the manager/owner Leah…she’s super sweet and nice, but will definitely charge you 4 times the price for glasses. Please save yourself time, money and aggravation and go somewhere else. P.S. Please pay extra attention to any receipts that you receive from them. Thank me later

I was recently visiting New York City and had an issue with my eyeglasses. I stopped into Cohen’s and was helped by Jaanne, who was amazing. She was super friendly, professional, and had my glasses fixed in just a few minutes. I was back on my way quickly and really appreciated the great service. Highly recommend.
