Workmanship suck, bought a pair of glasses paid over 800.00 to have tint, glare resistance, etc. moisture went in between the lenses producing a haze, was told that nothing could be done. Don’t waste your hard earn money with them. I wouldn’t trust them with the quality of work they do. WALK AWAY.

I recently had a issue with the store, not taking my insurance properly. I am a teacher and part of the union with eye care benefits. They refused to follow the direction that our coverage states. It’s been updated recently and I had no problem using another store to receive my benefits. They say they are for the UFT, but I don’t recommend coming here if you are part of the Department of Education.

Somehow they charge $230 for the same contact lenses eye exam exam that every other Cohen’s charges $75 for. Just go less than 10 blocks to the other store and get the same service for $75. They claim that each store is different, which turns out to only be true for them. Update: In response to their response: it’s understandable that a franchise’s price’s may vary from one to the next very slightly. However, that would be within reason. Can you imagine being a regular at Costco, going to another city and finding that the same bag of cashews went from $14 to $42? No, that store would have a different name. There’s another Cohen’s less than 10 blocks away and many other stores around the city and they all have the same EXACT price - this was TRIPLE that of the rest, as in 3x the price.

I had a bad experience with this particular Cohen. I was charged for my children's prescription glasses. Without a complete breakdown in regards of why and what the charge is for. I was told simply because the prescription is high. Charged $195.00 per child for 2 children is $390.00. When I spoke to GVS, because I have insurance, I was informed that the charge is $135.00 per charge and that the extra $60.00 charge is for something not covered by my insurance that I didn't request at all. As well as I was informed that some of the features that I did request (that are covered) would be charged for. Please watch yourself when going to this store. This is not the first time that the owner Victoria tried to charge me for things that are covered by my insurance. And be wary when you're charged for things that you did not ask for!

My 94 year old mom loved reading. We ordered glasses with a metal frame here and they broke. At no cost, Victoria not only replaced the glasses with plastic frames but hand delivered them to my mom’s apartment as walking was hard for her. Sadly my mom passed away a few months later but in great pain, her suffering was alleviated by her love of reading. At her deathbed in a hospital, there were the glasses and Maupassant’s fables by her bedside. Thank you. .
