I came in for an evaluation for eye surgery. Dr. Smith was great. In addition to his medical expertise, he also had a true understanding for what I was experiencing, and how eye surgery would affect my quality of life. He took the time to carefully and completely answer all my questions and address all of my concerns. The rest of the staff I interacted with were all amazing, too. Everyone was knowledgeable and kind. I never felt pressured or rushed, and the whole experience was easy and seamless.

Commonwealth Eye Surgery is phenomenal! From the initial evaluation to surgery, everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, and helpful. The process was explained thoroughly. As a healthcare provider, I was very impressed with the quality of education and instructions. Dr. Smith was the optometrist and he was very thorough and helped me make the decision on the best form of cataract surgery for me. He was excellent and explained everything in an easy to understand manner. On the surgery days, the process was seamless! From checking to pre-op to post-op, everyone was organized and the process was patient focused. Dr. Wortz was my surgeon and he is phenomenal! He previously performed my LASIK so I knew the high quality of his work. He is kind and explains what is happening. I had excellent results with 20/20 vision in the first eye after 24 hours! I would highly recommend Commonwealth Eye Surgery without hesitation for your surgical eye care needs.
Had cataract surgery here. GREAT place. Dr P was amazing. All questions answered. Easy in and out. There was a bit of a wait in the waiting room on the evaluation day, but not bad and they were very nice about it. The staff keeps you informed every step of the way, even as to how much you will owe for each surgery. I was pretty freaked out surgery day, but they were amazing, and I went home a happy camper. Dr. P is the BEST, and I would recommend him over and over!!!!
My LASIK consult at Commonwealth Eye Surgery with Dr. Patel exceeded my expectations! Every person with whom I interacted was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. All parts of the consult and treatment were explained well and they addressed all my concerns. Dr. Patel made me feel at ease about treatment and explained treatment in a way that made me really trust her. I’m a doctor myself and I can tell the care recommended at Commonwealth Eye Surgery is a place I will trust to have my eyes treated. Highly recommend!
My sister and I were both super disappointed with commonwealth. I got the regular lasik done and she had a lasik done where they did a bit different procedure. Right around the two year warranty date, we both began having issues. My sister is back on prescription contact lenses and glasses. She’s had a really bad experience.I feel so sorry for her. And my eyes aren’t sharp and clear like they used to be. I have really bad night vision and even in the daytime, I sometimes have to strain to see things, for example, like looking out the window and trying to see a bird in the yard. We have both been super frustrated. Glad so many people had good experiences, but we just lost 10,000 dollars for a disappointing experience. Wish somehow we could get our money back or even better, get them to fix it but that’s probably not possible. Thanks. -Joyce
