Costco Optical

This is for Dr Pooneh Vafaee. She did my eye exam and man was rude. I have astigmatism and near sightedness, most of the optometrists who have done my eye exam have always worked with me great and would ask me which works better for my vision, but man Pooneh was very impatient. It’s my vision so I need to make sure which one works on every template that she shows me, i had to go back on a few to make sure i was choosing the more clear template she was showing me, to one point she let out a big “ugh” because i had to go back on forth on some templates to choose the more clear ones. It’s as if she was such in a hurry and was disregarding my questions. Fast forward to getting my glasses, it gave headaches and my eyes kept readjusting and i can’t get a focus on my vision and this was after 2-3 weeks of being in my new glasses even after the fact she told me to give time for my eyes to readjust to my new Rx. I wouldn’t come back and if i do, I DO NOT WANT HER TO BE MY OPTOMETRIST AGAIN!

Bob was a wonderful help and a pleasure to deal with. The ladies I interacted with were a bit on the crabby side. But a breath of fresh air when I asked him for some assistance. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He saved my opinion of Costco Optical. Thank you Bob.

I got my glasses here and it was great. Price was great and people were great. I am leaving 2 stars because of a Costco manager I ran into when I was here getting glasses which is usually a GREAT EXPERIENCE. While paying for glasses a female manager came over to check register. She had a Costco vest that had a patch that said “Do Not Touch Me.” It was very weird and I’m disappointed Costco allows her to wear that on vest. She was cold to the people working in the optical department. She didn’t say hi it make eye contact with anyone. She was a typical manager who didn’t seem to care much about her people. I could be wrong but just my gut feeling. I asked one of the employees what’s up with her best and he kinda just shrugged as if he was scared to answer. Really really weird experience.

I went to the Costco Optical and worked with Trish. She was awesome! I had to get contacts for my three kids using two different Insurance plans. She was friendly and very helpful comparing both insurance plans to give me the best deal. I was dreading going there knowing that it would be complicated with insurance for three people, but Trish made it very easy to get these contacts and dealing with the gauntlet of insurance stuff.

This morning, 03/19/25, I came in a good mood, ready to pick up our glasses. However, the employee named Holly was very rude and almost got into an argument with me. Most likely, this happened because we spoke English with an accent, as she did not behave that way with other customers. I have been ordering glasses for my whole family from this place for more than five years, but after such treatment, I will avoid her every time I see her to prevent any contact and not ruin my mood.
