I have been a Costco member since 2020 and shop here almost every week. Until recently, I never had a problem. This time, after the cashier scanned my items, I went to the exit where the employee checking receipts found one item that had not been scanned. I understand mistakes can happen, but the way the situation was handled was very disappointing. The receipt checker was extremely rude and treated us with a lack of respect. Another employee rescanned the item but charged the wrong price, and then a different employee had to correct it and charge the proper price. The entire process took about 30 minutes to resolve. The unscanned item was clearly a cashier error, not ours, yet we were made to feel like we had done something wrong. As a loyal member who has shopped here for years, I expected much better customer service. I hope Costco provides better training on how to handle these situations professionally and respectfully.

Went in early with Executive Member, They let Gold Members know you are not welcome for another hour 😊 Had great conversations with other members and vendors.

They should really make a designated area for employees to smoke because they often choose the disabled parking to do so and honestly, it's frustrating as someone w asthma. Today I was trying to unload our purchases into the car and an employee was about 5 ft away from us smoking, it activated my asthma so I felt like I couldn't breathe. Instead of being courteous and moving at least a few more feet seeing it clearly made me sick, all she said was were outside and continued to smoke. Mind you, she wasn't parked there, she could move at any time. Meanwhile our car was parked there and I had to unfortunately be near her as I unloaded my items. I think it would be worth making a designated area for them to smoke so that they can take their breaks without blowing smoke in customers spaces when we're just trying to go in and out of the store.
