Costco Optical

This was my second time getting help from Julio at Costco Optical, and once again, he was amazing. He quickly fixed my broken nose pieces and even gave me an extra pair just in case, which I really appreciated. Last time, he helped me choose my frames, and I still absolutely love my glasses. Julio is knowledgeable, skilled, and always so friendly. You can tell he really knows what he’s doing and genuinely cares about helping customers. He made my experience so easy and positive—I left feeling really happy. I truly hope everyone there is as great as Julio!

I had a great experience at the Costco Optical department thanks to Kelly. She was very helpful, took time to answer all my questions about Meta glasses, and explained how HSA coverage works in a clear way. She was patient, knowledgeable, and made the whole process easy. Really appreciate the great customer service.

Double check your prescription. They’ll write you a different brand contact lenses in your prescription. I requested a specific brand which we agreed on during the exam. Probably because they get a bigger kickback from that manufacturer. Beware. This happened to me multiple times already. Very unethical and unprofessional.

I actually had a decent experience here… especially for my first time! I came with a prescription from another optometrist, my number came up before I really had a chance to look at frames. So I continued looking for nearly two hours before Kelly came up and asked me if she could help. Within 5-10 mins we came up with the perfect frames and lens — she even introduced me to new styles I hadn’t even thought of before. You could tell Kelly tries to be as helpful as she can, and I felt like I made a new friend. :) She seems to be more upbeat and personable than some of the others working behind the counter… but I found most were still helpful and later on the phone, Julio did a great job helping me resolve a few concerns I had about my prescription. Thus far, I’d say I have had more luck finding decent energy in this optical dept than in several of Costco’s hearing aid depts… 😝 To be honest, Costco is always so crazy busy and hectic that I wouldn’t be surprised that this can affect the moods of those working there, especially in customer service… I know it would drive me crazy to work for hours under those conditions in such a noisy chaotic warehouse! Maybe Costco corporate needs to take this into consideration… and build more inviting, quieter spaces for both the hearing and optical departments? Get some Feng Shui in there…move out from the high traffic zones, away from the high ceilings and fluorescent lights, add lots of live green plants 🪴 and make sure your employees are well-nourished, well-hydrated, well-rested and are given incentives that make them feel more appreciated! 💕

I had a wonderful experience with Costco Optical last week. The optometrist really took the time to make sure I had the right contact lens prescription by having me try multiple samples for fit and clarity. She also sent me home with several samples too. Also I went to get glasses immediately afterwards and Victoria T was amazing. She was knowledgeable and able to answer all my questions and was genuinely kind and wanted to be helpful. She didn’t rush me and explained the process thoroughly. She provided info on discounts which enabled me to get a 2nd pair along with handling the billing to my insurance too.
