I purchased glasses here using an existing prescription, and the experience was great. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout the process, making everything easy and stress-free. I’ll definitely be coming back!
If you're looking for top-notch eye care and fantastic service, RLK Eye Associates inside Costco in Cumming, Georgia, is the place to go! Dr. Rohan Kapoor is incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and makes you feel completely at ease during your eye exam. The pricing for both the exam and glasses is unbeatable, especially when you factor in the high-quality options available through Costco's optical department. The optical staff is also amazing—super friendly and efficient, helping you find the perfect pair of glasses without any hassle. They take their time to ensure you're completely satisfied with your selection and fit. The entire team, from Dr. Kapoor to the optical staff, provides excellent service and genuinely cares about your eye health. Highly recommend this place for anyone in the area!
I want to clarify that this eye optical office is not Costco—they only rent space inside the store. CUMMING location I wish it was a zero start option because this company does not deserve any one at all. I had an eye exam appointment on 11/12. Even with insurance, I was charged $170 for a contact lens exam plus $40 for a “mandatory” retinal/back-of-the-eye test, which was not clearly explained beforehand. After the exam, I was told that trial contact lenses would arrive in 7–10 days. I never received a call. After over two weeks, I called and was told the order was never placed. I was then told it would be another 7–10 days. Over a month later, there is still no trial lenses and I cannot place an order for my contacts. I booked my appointment early November specifically to use my insurance for the year, and due to repeated delays and poor communication, I may now lose my coverage. The lack of organization, accountability, and follow-up is extremely disappointing. I strongly recommend considering a different provider to avoid this experience.
This is a very strange place. At first glance, it looks like a normal eyewear center with a good selection of frames at reasonable prices, and they do accept insurance—but… My first contact with the staff was when I just stopped by to look at frames and prices. One of the specialists offered to check how much of the cost my insurance would cover. The final out-of-pocket amount looked very reasonable. I took a printed estimate and came back later with my prescription. There was a line, though it seemed only a couple of specialists were actually busy. When it was my turn, a staff member helped me. I gave her my prescription, the previous estimate, and pointed out the frame I had chosen. Even though all the information had already been entered into their system, she spent another 20 minutes making a new estimate—which turned out to be completely different from the first one. When I asked why there was such a difference, she said she didn’t know what that earlier estimate was and refused to look at it. So I was supposed to track down whoever made it myself? That’s absurd. It wasn’t so much her rudeness that bothered me, but the strangeness of the whole situation—how can two different specialists calculate two completely different prices? Very odd. Fortunately, there are plenty of other optical centers nearby that accept orders for glasses. There’s no reason to deal with such a confusing place. I do not recommend it. UPD. By the way, when they checked my insurance for glasses, they failed to mention that they are not in the VSP network. This means the insurance will cover only a small portion of the cost of new frames and lenses. It’s much more reasonable to look for an optical store listed as in-network on your insurance provider’s website. Since there are plenty of such places around here, and the quality and base prices are roughly the same everywhere, using Costco Optical seems rather pointless to me.
