Very disappointing customer service. The management on site was extremely poor and showed little concern for addressing customer issues or providing a positive customer experience. The overall level of service was unacceptable. What made the situation even worse was the way the manager on duty handled my personal information. The manager came out into the public area and announced that my insurance had been canceled, in a way that allowed other customers and people in the store to hear the conversation. I found this extremely unprofessional, embarrassing, and inappropriate. Personal and sensitive information should be handled privately and with discretion. Instead of making an effort to resolve the issue professionally, management made an already frustrating situation even worse. Honestly, I feel like I probably would have received better customer service at Walmart. This was absolutely not the kind of experience I would expect from a professional business. Management needs to take customer concerns seriously and understand the importance of treating customers with respect, professionalism, and privacy.

I got my glasses from here back in 2024, and they failed to take my eye measurements properly. When I received the glasses, everything looked wavy whenever I glanced down at the ground. I went back to my doctor, and she confirmed that the pupil measurement on the glasses was off. I returned to Costco and told them exactly what my doctor said — and I was really disappointed by how defensive they were. The manager actually challenged my ophthalmologist’s assessment. In the end, I had to go to a different Costco location to get the correct measurements and have the glasses remade, which finally came out right. A few days ago, in July 2026, I came back to update my new prescription. They told me I had to agree to a term stating that if my glasses break during service, they won’t take any responsibility. My frame had no prior damage, and it’s not likely to break during a simple lens swap for a new prescription. That struck me as odd ,why would glasses break at a supposedly experienced optical center during a routine prescription update? Honestly, I first assumed that initial experience was just a one-off case of bad customer service, and I didn’t want to judge too harshly. But seeing the same poor service continue into July 2026 tells me this is a pattern, not a one-time hiccup. I went to a different Costco (bolingbrook) the job was done perfectly, and they didn’t push any term about accepting the possibility of the glasses breaking during the work. Go to a different location.
They do a great job here. Got eye exam, contacts, and glasses adjustment. Eye exam was on time, and the exam was professional and thorough. I've ordered contact lenses through Costco's website in the past, and the Kirkland brand is the Coopervision brand. I pay a fraction of what I was paying my old optometrist for the same product. Finally, I've had the same glasses for 3 years, and the optician was kind enough to add nose pads and adjust my glasses free of charge. I'm puzzled by the negative reviews. They're cheap, efficient, and friendly. I probably would have paid 50% more at another chain or self-employed optometrist for the same service/products.
Great customer service. Special thanks to David and Laura helping me out with my progressive prescription and ordering new frame .
Fantastic experience, start to finish. One optician helped me find the sizes (I wish I had gotten her name because she was great as well). After my daughter picked her frames, David helped get her measurements and was very thorough in explaining progressive lenses since this will be my daughter’s first time with them. He was fast, very informative and helpful.
