The store is always clean and fully stocked. Cashier service checkout lines are long but move quickly. Self-checkout is quick and easy. I Always grab a hot dog or slice of pizza on my way out. They are both good.

I purchased my Costco membership online on 7/13 using my Mastercard credit card with no issues. Since I'd never been to Costco before, I decided to make the trip today with my three kids (ages 6, 4, and 2) while my husband was working his 24-hour shift as a firefighter. My goal was to stock up on groceries so he wouldn't have to stop after a long day at work. The Costco closest to us is almost an hour away, so this wasn't a quick trip. When we arrived, I first went to Member Services to pick up my membership card. I was told their printer wasn't working and that I'd have to use the digital membership card instead. It was frustrating, but I moved on and started shopping. As a first-time shopper, I was excited. We found groceries, healthier snack options, produce, meat, and even a mattress for my 2-year-old. After spending all that time shopping with three young children, we finally got to checkout. The cashier scanned everything, and when it was time to pay, she asked if my card was a Mastercard. I said yes. She then told me Costco only accepts Visa credit cards or debit cards (including Mastercard debit). I explained that my card was a Mastercard credit card and asked how that could be possible when I had literally used the same card to purchase my Costco membership online just a few days earlier. I asked if there was a sign anywhere explaining this policy because I genuinely had no idea. Instead of getting a clear explanation, another employee was called over. Communication was difficult because the cashier spoke very little English, and by this point everyone seemed irritated that my transaction was holding up the line. The cashier's attitude changed, my kids were crying because they thought we couldn't bring our groceries home, and I felt embarrassed and overwhelmed. I understand that payment policies exist, but allowing customers to purchase a membership online with a Mastercard credit card and then not clearly warning them that the same card cannot be used to pay in the warehouse is incredibly misleading. For first-time members, that's a terrible experience. After driving nearly an hour, shopping with three small children, and filling an entire cart, I couldn't even complete my purchase because of a policy I had never been informed about. The lack of empathy from the employees made an already stressful situation even worse. Instead of trying to help or acknowledge how confusing the situation was, I felt like I was treated as though I was the inconvenience. I ended up going back to Member Services and requesting a refund for my membership because I no longer felt comfortable shopping there. This was my very first Costco experience, and unfortunately, it will probably be my last. I hope Costco considers making this policy much clearer during the online membership purchase process so other first-time members don't have to go through what I did.

After 10+ years as a loyal Costco member, this is the first time I’ve felt compelled to leave a review and unfortunately, it’s not a good one. The store is well-stocked, but the customer service is consistently disappointing. Checkout lines are extremely long with only one or two registers open, even when multiple associates are on the floor. What led me to cancel my Executive Membership was being treated disrespectfully by three different associates during one visit. As a long-time member, that experience was unacceptable. I reached out to corporate hoping for resolution, but was directed back to the store manager to submit a form. The situation remains unresolved. Customers deserve efficiency, respect, and accountability especially in today’s economy. I truly hope this location takes meaningful steps to improve.

Costco located in Walldorf has ample parking and offers a variety of products. What stands out the most is the consistent kindness of an employee named Nicole, who always provides professional service with a warm smile. Although I once considered switching to another Costco due to a rude employee at the customer service center, Nicole's demeanor has made me want to stay. As a five-year veteran, I hope to continue seeing her friendly face during my visits. While I won't mention the name of the rude employee, I trust the store manager to make the right decisions and recruit excellent staff. Also, what do you think about expanding the variety of chicken wings with flavors like spicy and super spicy? I often purchase them, and I believe offering spicier options could increase sales. I wonder what others think about this idea."

Customer service is excellent at this store and at Costco tire. I had a nail in my tire and needed to replace all my tires anyway. With no appointment Costco tire helped me select new tires they had in stock, and had my new tires installed, the same day on a Friday evening! I'm grateful for their excellent customer service and ability to help me without an appointment. This was my second set of tires from Costco; excellent service both times.
