We were so lucky to get Maria as our optical rep! She was so patient with us! We went through so many frames until absolutely sure which one to get. She didn't get annoyed, rather she got us some more to try based on my (smaller) size and even offered to order more for my size. If I hadnt just been visiting family in the area I would've taken up the offer. Very helpful and professional.

I wanted to comment on Dr Baltis. She has an office there, but she's a private practice doctor. She doesn't work for Costco. She's a fantastic doctor. She really understands what you're telling her about your vision. I know. I have some very strange eye problems. She's professional, thorough, empathetic and practical. We've been using her for our eye glass prescriptions for 25 years. Top Notch.

In January 2025 I purchased 2 pairs of glasses at the vision center. So far, the screw fell out of one (which they put a screw in) and then just today the shaft of the same Hinge fell out. The person that helped me had a no care attitude and told me I would have to buy new frames and the cost would be $60. Well there are two definite things here. 1, I went to the Vision Center in Smithtown and they charged me $15 to repair them and was told the frames are very low end. 2, I will make sure my friends and family will never go there again ever! Oh, get rid of the nasty person behind the counter. So, in my opinion... they stink!

The staff is exemplary. My favorite place to shop for glasses.

I usually go to a regular eye doctor that has a private practice but whenever I got to him, I feel as if he talks at me and not to me (i.e. God complex of being a doctor). He comes in check my eyes and walks out. Doesn’t ask if I have any questions or nothing. So, when my eye glasses broke on Thanksgiving I decided to try the eye doctors at my local Costco where I always buy my glasses from anyway. I have to say SOOO happy with the eye doctor who helped me Dr. Horowitz. She was AWESOME!!! She explained to me what she was going to do. She asked me if I had any questions and when I asked my question’s she took her time to answer them. She spoke to me not at me. SHE WAS AWESOME!!! I told her I wanted something similar to my current prescription at it has served me well for 10 years and that is exactly what she gave me. I couldn’t be happier!!!
