Costco Optical

Excellent prices on glasses and contacts. Wish they accepted our insurance but it's easy enough to submit the claim ourselves. Always willing to adjust the glasses when we need it as well.

In my 25+ years of membership, this is only Costco Optical Department I have encountered which was staffed by team members who patently refuse to provide normal everyday services. Recently, and about 3 years prior, two different people behind the Optical counter refused to make adjustments to my eye glasses. Following the first service refusal, I drove several hours to the Costco where they were purchased and had the adjustment cheerfully made. The second service refusal, I drove to the nearest competition for a simple fix. This Optical Department appears to have a long-term customer service opportunity. PLEASE check their history of poor reviews! I SADLY CANNOT RECOMMEND.

Tonya is the best. The absolute BEST! I wish I could give her hundred stars. I was struggling to decide what frames would look good. I immediately sensed that she truly cared about what was best for me and how I'd feel about myself when I wear them. She took her time with me, never rushing me. She listened to my concerns. She let me try several pairs. She was incredibly patient with me and I appreciate that the most. She CARES! Go see Tonya!

The optician attempted to make me feel bad about ordering glasses online and then asking to have an adjustment made. (This isn't the first time he has treated me this way) I asked because my glasses are not sitting straight on my face. Instead of making the correction I asked for, he straighted the arms, which didn't fix the alignment issue. When I asked him if he could fix the alignment I asked for, he sassily told me he was done working on them. I offered to pay for the adjustment. He declined. Just say NO instead of retail shaming MEMBERS. Costco IS A BIG BOX retail chain!

I bought progressive eyeglasses and sunglasses at the same time. They told me no returns. The glasses are awful. No insurance accepted. I went to Walmart today and picked up a pair of glasses i ordered and I am so happy I did. I can see normally again. Costco was a waste of money.
