I took my Mother to get her prescription glasses here. One set of regular prescription glasses and one prescription sunglasses. The scientific measurements used to align the focal point of the glasses was just the employee looking into my Mom's eyes and "eye balling it" using a black marker and placing a dot on the lens where they "felt" her pupils aligned with the lense when she was looking straight ahead before sending it off to the lab for two weeks. When they finally came back from the lab my Mom couldn't see a thing, everything was blurry... unless she lifted the glasses off her face. This time a second employee blamed it on the type of frames we had chosen, saying they were too thick, so we went through the whole process of choosing two new sets of frames, regular and sunglasses, that were thinner, and which the employee said would now work. Same black marker method, and two weeks later, same result. The alignment was all out of wack. We decided to return the glasses and was met with a rude condescending younger employee... no apology. When we asked if we received a credit back for the gift card we applied to the initial order, the employee went and asked another employee who was actually the previous employee that we talked to before who had said we had the wrong frames. This time the employee was short, no eye contact, and unapologetic. 0 Stars for zero help and wasted time.

I had a really disappointing experience at this Costco. A year ago, I got a pair of eyeglasses from this optical department, but the lenses were not accurate. I specifically asked for high-index lenses because my prescription requires thin lenses, but the ones I received were thick. When I pointed this out, the older employee whom I spoke was extremely rude. He told me that if I returned the lenses, I would be banned from buying glasses at any Costco in the future. I was stunned who talks to a customer like that? He acted as if he owned the place. His attitude was completely unprofessional. On top of that, I've noticed that many other employees at this Costco are also rude, which makes me think the manager either doesn’t train the staff properly or simply doesn’t care about customer service, only about making money. After this incident, I stopped shopping at this location, even though it’s the closest one to my house. I now prefer to drive farther and spend my money at a different Costco where I’m treated with basic respect.

Yikes, the amount of negative reviews show a lack of reading comprehension that’s a little worrying. This business is an opticians office/exam room only and they have nothing to do with filling eyewear prescriptions, so any reviews dealing with a fill are useless to me, at least. I’ve had overall good experiences getting my exams done here every few years, dr is quirky and friendly but obviously there’s low tolerance for that based on these ridiculous reviews…

Dr. May was very helpful and patient with me. She made sure she had answered all of my questions and provided all the help I needed before going to the next patient. The front desk lady (sadly I didn't catch her name) was also the most professional and friendly I've encountered in any clinical setting.

Great product value but the staff is difficult and surely. Understaffed and working in cramped quarters could be parts of the problem. Either way, one of the worst groups of service representatives I have ever experienced. Truly, a cast of miscreants.
