CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOUR GLASSES MEET SPEC 1) Make sure your glasses meet the prescription requirements. Caution: they will try to force you to go back to your doctor to check the script... even though they did not make it to script! 2) Do NOT allow them to "jimmy" the lense trying to force the lense into meeting the script. If they do this, there is a good chance the lense will revert to its "out of spec" positioning. I bought 2 pairs of glasses thru Costco. When I picked them up the script was off by +5 degrees one lense in Pair 1. Pair 2 had the same lense off by -5 degrees. I was told the tolerance was +/-2°. Pair one was sent back for a lense remake. When it came in the second time, I asked the lense be checked. As I watched, the loosened the lense and tried to rotate the lense to bring it in to spec. They admitted it was out by 4 degrees. This "lense rotation" is an unsanction "REPAIR" as there can be no guarantee the lense will stay in a position the lense is not designed mate with the frame. It went out for a third lense. This time, they finally got it right. So Pair 2 was sent out for a new lense. When that Pair came back, I never was able to get the glasses adjusted for my face (one ear is lower than the other) as the technician began experience heart pain. I felt the stress of dealing with these glasses was a contributing factor. So, I picked up the glasses and left. Out of concern for the health of this individual, I notified management so they could check on him and call 911 if warranted.

I’ve used Costco for my glasses for 3 years and I haven’t been disappointed! Affordable so insurance took care of most of it. Excellent warranty as well - I broke my frames after two months and they simply replaced it with no additional charge. Don was very helpful!

After waiting 45 minutes (not an exaggeration. It was 45 minutes) for the optician to chat with the previous customer, I finally get to pick up my glasses only to find out she would refuse to adjust them for me, saying my eyebrows were uneven. Not only are they not uneven, but I asked her repeatedly to adjust them. Now I have glasses that are crooked and fall off my face, and I know I can’t go back here to have them adjust them. She spent all of two minutes with me. Very displeased overall.

James was friendly and courteous. Provided a lot of information about options and benefits. I never felt rushed or pushed to make one decision over another. Here after cataract surgery so significant changes in prescription so regglasses + backup pair and sunglasses.

I really like costco so I thought getting my glasses through them just made sense. I tried calling to get some info on whether this would work for me. Was a really confusing process, I am told one thing by Costcos website and another from the employee. Wasnt offered any assistance once I mentioned I have VSP, he claimed Costco stopped accepting insurances 11 years ago, yet the website never says any of that and actually has a list of insurances they accept (VSP included). Never even offered to go over prices without insurance to see if its still an option for me. Felt rushed out of an office that I wasnt even in. As usual, found a smaller mom n pop business that was able to get me in swiftly and was super nice every step of the way.
