Dr. Hong is an excellent eye doctor. I drove all the way from Fredericksburg to see him because he was highly recommended. He is probably the best eye doctor I have visited in the last five years. He is very professional, thorough and friendly; 10/10 recommended.

This is the worse Costco I have ever been to. They have rules that are not applied in any other store. I got fuel here and come to find out the price at the pump was more than the displayed cost on more than on occasion. When making returns here the employees were rude because something broke or I bought something that didn’t fit they said “you should know “your size” these things I bought were for someone els and the comments were not needed. When wording food you have to wait in line as they don’t call out your number and they are very rude about it as if I am supposed to know the rules they made up. On top of that the customer service at the food court were and still are very rude for example I gave my god some cash to buy what ever he wanted and so he couldn’t use the self check, he waited for a very long time and when I went up to the cash register with him (he wanted to do it for himself as he had just worked for the cash he got) a very rude woman “you’re just going to have to wait” this was uncalled for. This was a something I could not stand I just take my business to the other Costco from now on. The manager here have heard my complaints and seem to just do and allow their staff to treat people terribly. Is the only Costco that I have ever been in that is run so poorly and allowed to get away with it.

Costco Vision Center at Broad Street is great. They have professional opticians Fred, Evan, Ash have all measured my PD and adjusted frames when return from lab. I use my own Titanium lightweight frames and not one has been lost or damaged. My single vision Reader, Computer and Distance are all sharp and with good coatings. The sunglasses are dark grey with polarized. I have eyestrain headache issues so quality lens and well adjusted nose and temples are important. This is a busy shop so go first thing in morning to order if you don't want to wait long. Prescription Eyewear is part of your health so do some homework on what lens type you need and ask direct questions to get a proper response. They really have saved my life as driving at night to see clearly into the distance for signage and avoiding terrible drivers makes a difference. The prices are also the most competitive.

We had an excellent experience here. The frame selection is great and the price is right. To be honest, at first my glasses were being poorly adjusted by someone who couldn't care less. I took them to Costco - Midlothian and had an even worse experience (they were sliding down my face, hurting my nose, etc.). I returned to Costco - Glen Allen and was blessed to see FRED, the Optical manager this time and he was extremely patient and knowledgeable: seeing the problems right away, adjusting the glasses to fit perfectly, helping me to order another pair with lighter lenses...his kindness, patience, expertise, and professionalism stopped us from walking away and never returning. We will see him for our optical needs from now on. 9/21/19: Fred was out when we were in there this week and Tatiana adjusted my glasses and did an EXCELLENT...no, a PERFECT job. We highly recommend her, as well.

I had to have lenses replaced due to an incorrect prescription. It had been an unhappy experience and I was uncertain that the new prescription I had obtained would solve the problem. I was waited on by Fred, who was so patient and knowledgeable that my fears disappeared. I complement Fred and Costco for understanding how important their service is and for taking time and effort to give customers the best possible outcome.
