this was my first time to this Costco Vision Center (just moved here from Franklin TN) the first Opitician (I think Robert ? ) was helpful about my insurance, etc... but Rashard was the person who helped me with choosing my glasses and then fitting when they came in. He was excellent. He was friendly, professional and very knowledgeable with the products. I am grateful.

Love Costco. We’ve been Costco members for years and have always been impressed with everything about them, especially their customer service, which is why I had high hopes for their optical department. After calling to see if our insurance would be accepted, I was told I would need to come in to verify that. Unfortunately, they failed to mention that the optical department is closed on Mondays. To be fair, I take responsibility for not checking that myself. Still, that would have been a helpful detail to disclose upfront. It would have saved me a two-hour round trip. What made the situation even more frustrating was what happened when we finally got there. The “verification” process literally consisted of the employee asking for the name of our insurance provider and immediately telling us it was accepted. No computer was used. No account information was requested. No policy information was checked. Obviously, this could have been conveyed over the phone and saved us the two-hour trip. But that wasn’t the worst part though. The customer service rep was just plain rude. Very short. No smile. No greeting. No “How can we help you today?” Just a grumpy “Question?” (to which I answered “yes”). This was followed by obvious general disdain for our presence, an inordinate wait time before they allowed me to actually ask the question, to ultimately literally being told something they obviously knew off the top of their heads. Your optical department lost an entire family of customers today.
Standing waiting right now. There are 8 to 10 people standing here waiting on service. This review is for Costco management. You need to hire more people for your optical department. It’s busy every time I visit here. To busy for the number of customers. Other than that the optical department here is great! No reflection on the employees behind the counter.
I had the best experience getting prescription glasses there. Arturo helped me with ordering glasses, making sure they fit me exactly right. When my glasses came in a week later, Rashard assisted me and made sure the glasses were perfect. Both associates were kind and helpful. I'd definitely recommend the vision department at Costco Fort Oglethorpe, Ga
I do love Costco’s but I’ve got my glasses and sunglasses at their optical place and they have never been right. They use every excuse in the book to give you a reason for reasons why they might be wrong, except for who they’re using to make their glasses… when you have bifocals and you have to lift your glasses to Reed. There’s a problem. Plus you can’t see distance with your sunglasses… I will never ever go there again
