I’ve heard positive things about Costco Optical locations but I would not recommend doing any business at the Eden Prairie, MN store. The first optician seemed very short and hurriedly put my glasses specs together. Once the glasses came in we drove from Mankato to pick them up and they were not made correctly. The new optician said they were made too strong and the transition was made too high so she adjusted the next pair. Not wanting to drive back an hour to the store and back for the second pair, I elected to have them shipped. A couple days after I received the text saying the glasses were done I called the store. The first 4 times I called, nobody answered. Finally I got a lady that said someone had dropped the ball and the glasses were not shipped yet. After they arrived they were still not made correctly. I will be returning them for a refund although I have to drive 2 hours round trip to do so. The whole experience has been very poor. Maybe other stores are better, but I will never know that.

I wish I could say better things as I came into this with high hopes. I was helped by 3 different people from ordering my glasses to coming back the same day I picked them up to get them readjusted. The staff is completely hit or miss, unfortunately. The woman who helped me readjust my glasses (when I came back in) was quite rude. I don’t know anything about readjusting glasses as I’m kind of new to glasses… so I told her I wasn’t sure how it worked but knew that they kept sliding down. When I asked if one part could be tighter she responded, “well they COULD.” When she looked at the glasses behind my ears she was not at all gentle moving my neck and ears, and I have neck problems. I got two pairs of glasses, so I needed both readjusted. Right when she got done with the first pair, she put everything away without question, even though we had talked about both pair (and both were on the counter). I asked if it was possible to do the second pair and she sighed loudly and said, “I COULD, I guess.” Very outwardly showing her annoyance with me. She ended our conversation by telling me I’d need to “deal with” the glasses falling down from time to time. I told her I understood, but my glasses were literally sitting on the tip of my nose after I pushed them up less than a minute before. I never write reviews, but this whole experience with them has been disappointing :/

Extremely unhappy customer. I ordered a new pair of glasses last month. I had trouble seeing properly. I went there after using 1 week and this guy did not agree and said nothing wrong with the glasses and said it is according to the prescription. He kept on arguing, matter of fact he started fighting. Again after 2 weeks I was so unhappy I went and told them that I am not happy. This time, one lady checked glasses with actual prescription given and said it had a wrong prescription and she sent my glasses to lab for correction. After 1 week I received new glasses. But this time also I had same issue. Once again I went back and expressed my concern and they were so rude they asked me to go to eye doctor for checkup. I was very upset. Just now I got a new pair from some other optical store based on the same prescription given to Costco. Now, my new glasses, from different opticals is perfectly fine and I am happy. I will never ever recommend Costco. While speaking to couple of friends, I found out that they also had same issues with Costco. Please do not go to COSTCO OPTICALS!!

I was running late because of traffic, but they were able to schedule me for a little later same day. My appointment went quickly. I didn't feel rushed though. The eye doctor was wonderful. Talked me through the whole way and she was super skillful at her job. A wonderful experience from start to end. I LOVE my new glasses.

Anya, the Optical Manager was so kind and patient with me today. I was picking up my first pair of bifocals and I was confused about my prescription how it was written. She spent way more time than necessary helping me sort out my new glasses and the new plan going forward. I had so many questions and she couldn't have been more gracious, kind and patient. I will definitely return!
