I have been a patient of these doctors since they opened their first shop in Palm Harbor. This Pistol Range office is so convenient for me, I transferred to that location. Always treated with respect. When I ordered contacts, the receptionist would go out of her way to find a coupon or the best deal possible. Contacts always arrived on time, no problems. Just love this office and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

First Class Exam, First Class Service, First Class Eyewear Selection, First Class operation. .I have been to different optometrists my whole life for the the past 40 years. First I was greeted in a most friendly way especially for a doctors office. The doctors here are very knowledgeable, very compassionate, and well educated. I had the most comprehensive exam ever. Next the optician shopped for eyeglasses for me and selected a spectacular pair of frames that I would never have picked for myself. They looked amazing, and the prices were very competitive to other places I had been before. I highly recommend Countryway Eyecare, and will send all my friends and family here. Rating: 5 Stars.

My experience was alright - I guess I was disappointed by the unexpected high cost of going here. I have spent less money at out-of-network places. If cost isn't a factor in your decision making and it's close by then this might be an ok choice for you. --- Details: I was a bit put off at first when I called in and had questions about insurance (had not used it before) and felt I was met with impatience. That's ok. Maybe I should know more about how my insurance worked beforehand. I went in anyway since I had purchased glasses before out of network hand hoped to save some money by choosing an in-network provider (more on this later). When filling out paperwork there is some misleading statements about reimbursement for some imaging they offer. They state that a claim can be made to insurance to pay for it. Only when I was paying after my appointment when I asked about it did they say, "Yeah you can request re-reimbursement but your insurance company probably won't pay for that." I guess shame on me for not asking more questions before I got it done. The appointment itself was on par with other vision providers I've used before. One things I expressed explicitly to my doctor was that I was having issues with eye-strain because I use computers a lot. When I purchased some glasses I requested high index and lens coating as I use the computer a lot. Then came the bill. I spent roughly twice as much in-network at Countryway Eyecare as I did out of network at Pearle Vision. I've never spent that much on getting a pair of glasses. Then a week later (because they don't offer in-house lens cutting) I get handed my glasses and note that they didn't have the coating I wanted. Going to wait another 7-10 business days and pay an extra $50 to have them re-done. I'm sure things will work out.

Most awful experience I ever had in my life. My friend and I had to wait for 2 weeks to come in for appointments and it was December 6 2018 at 1:15 and another one was 1:30. We had to call off to make this appointment and we called telling Gail that we was running late, her response was so rude she was saying “oh you missed one appointment, I don’t know; if we can take both you guys just one.” So I was thinking maybe it was so busy and they couldn’t take us. We went there there was no customer there and how can Gail or the doctor take two appointment within 15 min apart on each appointment? Even one of the coworker got confused she was excepted two appointment instead just one. What Gail told us on the phone payment wise vs what was in person was completely different. Very rude disrespectful Gail she ran two potential customer out of your office because we was running late few minutes. However, we went Clearwater Vision Center didn’t have to wait 2 weeks or had to call off work to make their appointments very friendly and super easy to work with.

The office does not keep scheduled appointments, on May 22 I called to schedule a 4 PM appointment, I was told they would not have one until June 15, then the day before they called to inform me if I could not come in at 2 PM on on June 15, they would have to reschedule me. I had to wait another two weeks to get a 4 PM appointment, June 29 and guess what they called again today, June 27, to confirm and ask if I could come in earlier, as I started to explain, we went through this two weeks ago and I couldn't change it then and I was cut off and the receptionists replied okay okay, we will see you at 4 PM, Ms Norris. Honestly the receptionist cannot remember less than two weeks ago, I couldn't move it then and had to reschedule. So I called back to cancel and I got a sarcastic thank you. I felt as though I was a burden trying to keep the appointment scheduled. The person answering the phone seemed just as happy to cancel me, thanked me and said goodbye. So I am assuming they do not need new patients or want to retain me as an old patient. I would rate them zero as well!
