Dr Hunt is fantastic and the white haired lady that wears skirts also does a fantastic job. The problem is that we have had so much trouble with the front desk receptionist since the old receptionist left. The new girl working the front desk has placed me on hold for nearly an hour and never came back on the phone. I call back and placed on hold again for 20 minutes and I hung up. I took my sons glasses in to be repaired and the front desk girl super glued the ear piece on and it fell off within 24 hrs and then I took them back in and the front desk girl wadded up a piece of paper around them and shoved them in the front desk bottom drawer so I came back 10 days later and asked the lady with the white hair to help me figure out what had happened to my sons glasses and she looked around and found them still in the drawer of the front desk with the same wadded up paper around them. The white haired lady finally got the work order in to the right place to get fixed we waited 10 more days totalling 21 days. Within that next 10 days my sons glasses were fixed. Thank you to the white haired lady that is always willing to help us get quality care there. I've been calling for two business days over and over trying to make an appointment for my husband and I to have an eye exam and glasses and can't seem to get the receptionist to run our insurance for the appointment. I'm at a complete loss for words about the change in the receptionist just simply not caring about the forefront of the practice or the patients over there. We've been patients of Dr Hunts and crosstown eye care for nearly 20 years. I'm absolutely shocked to be treated like that by anyone there. In the past we've always been treated kindly and fairly and had exceptional experiences. I truly hope the owner and Dr reconsider who's running the reception desk because that's the first person we encounter and speak to over the phone. She's currently your representation of your business. I've tried all I can do over the phone to get an appointment and the care my family needs but I can't seem to get through to get the eye care my family and I need so at this point after nearly 20 years of business with crosstown eye care and a well established relationship with the owner and Dr Hunt my family of 5 might have to find another Dr. This deeply bothers me because I truly care about this family ran and locally owned business and Dr Hunt. I also know that this is not the way Crosstown Eyecare has ever treated anyone in our family. Update: we reached out again and was able to get another lady to get us an appointment scheduled. Thank you to the owner for helping us get the appointment scheduled.

I will start by saying that the staff there were friendly and willing to work with me the best they could. However, I cannot see myself ever going back. I chose to try Crosstown Eyecare because I simply wanted somewhere more local that was in network with my insurance. They had good reviews. So, I gave them a try. I went in and got my exam and glasses. When I picked up my glasses, I struggled to see out of them. I let them know and was told to try them for 3 days to see if I could adjust. After the 3 days of wearing them, I called back and they got me in for a new exam. When I had the new exam, the optometrist said my vision had changed from the first time I had come in. They sent the glasses off for the new prescription. I waited over two weeks and decided to call and check on them. They advised that the glasses were in and that they had called me. They repeated the number to me and they had called the wrong number. I came in to pick up the glasses, and they were even worse the second time. I told them right then that I could not see out of them. Everything was blurry. I was told, yet again, to try them for roughly 5 days. I tried them for a day and decided that it clearly wasn't working and called my insurance. They arranged for a refund and reinstatement of benefits. I brought the glasses back for the refund and was told that they could not do the refund without approval from the person in charge. When I asked when that person would be in, I was given odd hours and told that I would receive a phone call the next day to tell me when I could come in for the refund. I did receive a call the next day and went in, for the fourth time, with my glasses and was given the full refund. However, when I asked what the prescription was that they had given me so that I could give it to the next optometrist for comparison, they outright refused. I will not be returning, and I will not recommend this place to anyone else either.

Optometrist is great very through, and answers my questions, very knowledgeable. I have been going for awhile and don't plan on switching. The staff is very helpful, helped me pick my glasses that fit my style. I get compliments all the time. Love Crosstown Eyecare Thank you for being in Martinsville!

Most of the employees were very nice and helpful, only had an issue with one lady she had long white hair and she was very rude. The eye doctor is very nice but the problem with my prescription that I had is when I looked around everything was blurry left or right unless I was looking straight which I’ve never encountered with glasses until I got a pair through crosstown.

Had an afternoon appointment scheduled a few weeks out, contacted the office several days before appointment to confirm. Received call day before appointment that they could not honor that appointment time and cancelled my appointment without my consent. When I called back and spoke with them, they reassured me that I could still have my appointment and that it wouldn't be an issue. I called fifteen minutes prior and they told me that they couldn't see me since they were closing. I will not be scheduling with them again due to the inability to communicate an issue with an appointment time or offer a solution that can be followed through with.
