Crystal River Eye Center

Went here for my PRK surgery in Nov 2023 - I still had vision issues post surgery so Dr. Aggarwal performed PRK enhancement which fixed my left eye 100% but my right eye is still problematic. I had seen him for follow ups and requested multiple times to see if we could fix the vision and he insisted I wait for the eye to heal. I waited and now that he's passed away, I had my 1 year enhancement follow up today with Dr. Shaw who was very understanding of my concerns. I paid about 5k for both eyes and i can't see perfectly with them and they want to charge me another $2200 for PRK on my right eye. Just because I'm out of my 1 year warranty. They are failing to understand I have voiced and made it known I was dissatisfied with my vision from the get go and they made me basically wait until I was out of my 1 year to tell me I need to pay out of pocket AGAIN in order to adjust my vision! Dr. Shaw heard me and admitted it was above his pay grade to correct my vision since I already paid for both my eyes! Im posting this in hopes the billing dept can understand my frustration and how unhappy I am with this place and how they took care of me and my concerns. I also want to address I made an appointment here in November/December 2024, but Dr. Aggarwal was out of the country and then later tell me that he's passed away. So I feel i could have gotten this fixed before my 1 year was up.

Very accommodating! Called today for my husband who had been in the er due to metal in his eye. Matt was able to get him an appointment immediately! My husband said the staff & doctor were very pleasant, informative & accommodating. They are wonderful! I highly recommend them. Thank you.

Best medical experience I've had anytime. I'm 56 and had both eye lense replaced. The staff is so upbeat and enjoyable to talk with. Dr. Aggarwal is amazing with patients and checked with me at home after ea h one of my surgeries. I wish all offices had this atmosphere. I actually enjoy going to this office. Oh and Cheryl in surgery was wonderful. Upbeat and didn't mind me giving her a hard time. Highly recommend this office. Franklin Lane

Just had cataract surgery on both eyes 2 months ago. it was an enjoyable experience. Thank you Dr. Aggarwal. Your attention to the finest details is outstanding. Your attentive and friendly staff are the best ever. A lot of attention and care, very professional but very personal also. And a pair of stylish sunglasses as a gift after surgery... who does that!. The quality of my life has changed to the best.Thank you very much. I am eternally grateful.

I have been using the Merritt Island Eye Clinic and Laser Institute for over 30 years an have always had a good experience. Dr. Aggarwal and his staff are very professional, friendly and respectful. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a great doctor and staff.
