The worst. Coatings are garbage. They do NOT care. NOT the "best coatings in the industry" regional manager said. I paid $1,200 for two pairs of glasses. The lenses were mismeasured from start 2nd pair (camo) came w/ painted on blue stuff, which I never would have ordered. Remade. Refused my offer to pay for the "upgrade". Remake seemed ok. Put them in the cabinet while I wore my regular red glasses for about a year and the camo ones, sporadically. The red lenses started to show a lot of scratches for no reason. I took them back. Remade and did me a grand "favor." I offered to pay something towards it, but they refused. I wore my red glasses for another 6 months and they seemed good so they must have fixed whatever they did wrong the 1st time. 3 surgeries later I decided to wear my camo ones from the cabinet, primarily. After 3-4 weeks, I started to notice something wrong, splotch-wise and hard to clean, with a film on them that worsens, and the splotches spread from the edges and sides towards the middle. My optometrist friend confirmed the coatings are bad. The regional manager's number is the one I had and was told to call, prior, so I called it this time- who no longer works there, but agreed to pass the information on to the owner whom she said would care and solve it. I was supposed to and did get a call on Friday and then Monday they were supposed to give me the solution and I got no call so I drove the glasses to the office to drop them off so they can see. I POLITELY explained the FACTS and showed the glasses. The girl named Abby who told me her name was Aubrey is extremely rude, invalidating, insinuated that my glasses, just bc they were "made," will deteriorate bc of the AIR. She also blamed the regional manager and the person who sold me the glasses and told me well I should have bought the Crizal coatings then instead of this coating- but I had no idea what I was getting. I said well if you showed me pictures of what you were going to sell me I never would have bought it! I said I'm telling the truth, I have not worn these glasses and there's something wrong with these coatings. I said I don't really like the way I've been treated with all this and I'm probably never going to come back and she said "that's fine." I said are you kidding me...?? and she said "no that's fine, you don't need to come back here." They're going to do me a "big favor one last time" and remake the lenses. She said they'd call me when the glasses come in. I thanked her as politely as possible and left. Also, after being off 2 years for work injuries, I'm going back to work which is going to make it very difficult to pick up glasses during business hours. I don't live down the street but 20 mi away and it's very much out of the way. It's cost me a lot of gas time and aggravation to deal with all of this, but they DON'T CARE about their customers. I told the manager who was helping me what happened. She said the owner would care and do something about it. I asked for his number. He called me this morning, screaming, yelling, flip-flopping that they'll fix it / they won't, going to cancel my "order", already cost the company so much money, doing ME a FAVOR, and I don't appreciate it, etc... that I was harassing the girl in the store and if I come back in there they're going to call the police to escort me out, and that I'm "discharged" from Crystal Vision, and they'll mail me my glasses unfixed- though he flip-flopped back and forth whether he would fix them or not on the whole call which lasted 10 minutes. I encouraged him to pull the camera footage to get the truth about how his employee behaves. By the end of the call I was like PLEASE fix them. I need them to SEE and I'm STILL paying for them. In a livid rage he told me he put them in the mail, unfixed. Owner told me the prior manager who was decent enough to me and helping now, was a horrible, disgruntled, fired employee, which is a lie. Pics at the end of the damaged glasses that were sent to me loosely in a box, unfixed. Care Credit dispute and BBB cases filed.

Honestly, if I could give this place a zero star I would. I’ve been a customer for over four or five years. I recently went into the South Wilkes-Barre location. New staff in there, and what A horrible experience I had. One of the girls have zero customer service etiquette. Rude and unprofessional. - I looked past it and made my appointment to see a doctor. Three days later I come to the appointment day and I was told that if my prescription had changed since the last time I was there, that in order for me to be able to see in the meantime because they we’re gonna keep my glasses for six weeks. I could buy contacts. Because my insurance didn’t cover contacts and the contacts were already there. When I got the exam, the doctor determined that the difference in the prescription was only by a point. And so she advised me that if I really Didn’t want to I really didn’t have to get new prescription on the old frame. Then after the exam was done, she said let me have you try these. Handed me a pair of contacts I put them in. She had me look at some letters again. And said OK can you see fine? I said yes. She said OK see you next time. I’m thinking OK they having me try this because it’s something that they their office. Tell me How it was a pair of contacts that later on they charged me $80 for? And I didn’t even need them because I was not getting a new prescription on my current frame. Which it was the whole point of me asking for contacts . - They need to bring back their older staff or staff that actually wants to be there and work because at the end of the day that place is customer service base. We need staff that is ready to care for their patients/ costumers and able to explain prices and procedures without being annoyed. Rest assure I will never come back.
I just moved to the area and found the optical, I decided to give it a try for contact fitting. Doctor she was great. Staff had one person that or was so tired of the day, or she looked down on me for some reason. Every question I asked she didn’t want to answer or felt like she was mad at the question. I couldn’t talk to her or try to be nice because her attitude was so ugly. I asked about the contacts and her answer was with an attitude that I couldn’t choose I had to get what the doctor prescribed. I knew that, if she had really heard my question she would know. Other than that the other 2 ladies and the doctor were very nice. I’ll be back to get more contacts soon.

Wasn’t thrilled with them. When we walked in the door they reviewed my insurance and they immediately took us to a display in the back corner which had the glasses that would be free with the insurance. I don’t have free eye care insurance and I also have a high allowance towards glasses so I am not required to get the free ones. I also pay for high option eye care insurance and it is not cheap. They immediately profiled us and took us to free glasses then went on to personally help someone else. Guess they don’t make money on free glasses so they didn’t give us the time of day. Also, I had glasses from my eye doctor that I wore for a few years . Never had scratching issues. These lenses scratched so quickly even using spray and special cloth. Not worth going there. Just got new ones directly from eye doctor. Won’t go back. When they were in Mountaintop they were awesome!
