I had a pleasant experience here. The office is very welcoming & very friendly. The Dr took their time with me & did not rush & were very knowledgeable . Best eye exam I have ever had. They also have a nice selection of glasses and the optician went over all the options & which ones would help the best for me . Overall excellent experience & I will be back!

I had a very frustrating experience here and would not recommend this office. From the beginning, the communication was poor and the staff attitude made an already confusing process worse. During my exam, I told a technician I did not understand what she was asking me. Instead of clarifying, she repeated the same wording as if I simply was not listening. The receptionist then appeared to assume I was making a comment about the tech’s accent or speech, which was not the case, and later asked the doctor what my “problem” was while I was within earshot. That felt unprofessional and dismissive. The bigger issue is that my prescription and glasses order were mishandled. I clearly explained that I needed glasses for work, specifically for computer use. Despite that, the office ordered distance glasses, which was not what I needed. When I returned, I was told the new prescription was for reading glasses. When I explained again that I needed them for computer work, I was told that would require progressive lenses and that the doctor had only communicated “reading glasses.” Instead of anyone taking accountability, each person seemed to blame someone else or act like the misunderstanding was my fault. I was also not clearly informed about my options, when to expect my glasses, or how I would be contacted. When progressive lenses came up, the way the cost was discussed felt condescending rather than helpful. I do not mind paying for the correct product. I mind being poorly advised, having the wrong glasses ordered, and then being treated like I was the problem for asking questions. I called after leaving and requested a callback from the manager, but I did not receive one. At this point, I am very unhappy with the service, communication, and lack of accountability, and I will be requesting a refund.
Dr. Hettinger is very professional and easy to talk to about my eye health He gives a thorough exam and explains clearly what is being done.
My experience at Cumberland Hill Eye Care was excellent from start to finish. The staff was friendly, helpful, and made the entire visit smooth and stress-free. Dr. Sturgis was professional and thorough, taking the time to explain my exam results and answer all my questions. I appreciated hrr patience and the way she made sure I fully understood my options for eye care. The selection of glasses was fantastic, and the team helped me find frames that suited me perfectly. The whole process felt personalized and efficient. I’m so glad I chose Cumberland Hill Eye Care and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great eye care. I’ll definitely be coming back for my future appointments!
So good! The nicest people work here. Dr. Haworth is absolutely dedicated to every patient. My glasses are complicated and take a while to make. My only wishes for improvement would be a bike rack and that my complicated glasses could be made faster. If you're using the same frame, it can be really tricky. If buying a new frame it's easier. Tricky lenses like mine have to be set into frame at the lab. So re-using a frame means you need a second pair of glasses. Hmmmm.
