I had a very disappointing experience at this office. I arrived a few minutes late, but I was seen relatively quickly. The medical assistant was kind and listened to my symptoms, but unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Elaine Parker Williams was very different. I understand that only one issue may be addressed at a time, but the way this was communicated felt rude and dismissive. I was left waiting in the room for approximately 30 minutes. Then, after something was placed in my ear in preparation for an ear wash, I was left waiting again for about 15 minutes. When the procedure began, I experienced pain and dizziness and asked him to stop. He then said, “Do you want me to do this or not?” in a tone that felt very rude and dismissive, rather than making me feel like he was trying to help me. He stopped the procedure and said she would prescribe ear drops, but I was then discharged without much explanation or further attention to my concerns. I also mentioned gastritis symptoms but was told they could not be addressed during the same visit. I left feeling frustrated, uncomfortable, and as though my concerns were not taken seriously. I expected better communication, compassion, and patient care.
