Moved to Pawtucket almost 3yrs ago. I am on disability and super super thankful for Jillian here at family eye care. Actually, I should be thankful for the whole business. I am not treated any different than any other patient. Everyone there is super helpful and they are always on top of making sure appointments are rescheduled if needed.

Mayrin Ayala does an excellent job. She’s always professional, friendly, and very dedicated to her work. You can really tell she loves what she does, and the quality of her service shows it. I highly recommend the place where she works; every time I go, I leave very satisfied. Definitely worth it :):)
Dr. Kaplan was my first optometrist. I was his patient at Family Eye Care for a few years (2019-2022ish). I got my first glasses & contact lens prescription from him. After wearing my contacts for a few months, they started becoming extremely uncomfortable, and my vision was so poor in my right eye that I couldn't wear them anymore. I explained all of this to Dr. Kaplan, who brushed off my concerns and said that I just had dry eyes. Well, I was recently seen by a new optometrist at a different office. I explained all of this to my new doctor and turns out I actually have a mild astigmatism and need toric lenses! New optometrist explained that Dr. Kaplan definitely knew about my mild astigmatism because he gave me a stronger prescription to "compensate" for it. But he never told me I had astigmatism, and it wasn't on my prescription either! I felt really upset when my new doctor told me this. Why wouldn't he tell me I had astigmatism after I complained about not seeing well and my lenses being so uncomfortable that they were unwearable? I wasted about $200 on contacts that I can't even wear. I got toric lenses and new glasses from my new doctor. They are both very comfortable and my vision is the best it's been in years. I'm glad that I stopped coming to this office. Also, this office was always SO busy. This location has too many patients & not enough doctors. Appointments had to be booked like 6-8 months in advance. I often had to sit in the waiting room for 30-45 minutes & wait to be seen despite having an appointment.
First impression counts and they gave me a great service my first time there.
Great place. Corteous staff and fast turn around on eyeglasses and contacts.
