Everyone in the office was friendly, helpful, and efficient. I was greeted warmly and everything was explained to me well (even though there was confusion about my insurance, and I still will have to go back for the dilation...not exactly their fault, they explained what had happened and were very professional about it). Dr. Gbolabo was wonderful, explaining that he is new to this practice, and knowledgable. He had a warm, professional demeanor that I really admire in a doctor. I never felt rushed, and he took the time to explain things to make sure I understood. Vickie, in the adjoining optometry office where you can choose your glasses, was fantastic. She was so helpful, made sure I understood all my choices, and explained all my options with my insurance. I felt valued as a client, and she was very personable, so I enjoyed my time with her and feel confident I will love my new glasses (she'll make sure of it).

Dr Gbolabo was very polite and Professional. He explained and took his time. I was very happy with my visit with him. Also The front desk clerk that checked me in, she was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. This office is clean and refreshing the moment you walk and just all the way through. I would definitely recommend this office.

I made the mistake of assuming the name and size of this provider would translate into better service. I drove from Athens to GBC for an eye exam and contact lens fitting. My initial appointment was on 5/14, and I did not receive a call that my trial contacts were ready until 6/2 at 3:30 PM—more than two weeks later. I do not understand why it takes an organization of this size that long to receive trial lenses. The independent practice I previously used in Dallas could typically get them within a week. When I received the call, I was told I could come by anytime during business hours to pick them up. I left work early and arrived at 4:45 PM, only to find the parking lot empty and the office dark. When I called, I was told they had closed early because they had finished seeing patients for the day. The posted business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. If those are the advertised hours, the office should remain open until 5:00 PM. I called again at 8:05 the next morning and was told a message would be left for the team to see whether the contacts could be shipped to me. Now I am waiting for another callback after already waiting nearly three weeks. Overall, the experience has been disappointing. The delays, lack of communication, and failure to honor posted business hours have made what should have been a simple process unnecessarily frustrating. If zero stars was an option, that is what my review would be.

I am not the biggest fan of this eye center. Was rescheduled three times after my initial exam. I just wanted to get contacts instead of glasses. I explained this when I called to set up the appointment. Evidently they thought I was a “new” patient. They kept scheduling me with someone “out of my network “, when all I needed was to see the assistant that could have helped me. Finally I get to my appointment where the assistant tells me I have to put the contacts in myself after I told her I didn’t know how and I paid 25$ for them to show me how. She sits with her arms folded as I proceed to try and figure it out on my own. I finally ask for the manager after the contact fell on the table. The assistant leaves and comes back to say it was a “miscommunication “ and that she would show me how to put the contacts in. So after figuring out putting contacts in she asks how they feel and how do I see in them. I can see fine far away but I am unable to read my phone with them in. She then tells me the contacts are for far away. I explained they were supposed to be for reading close up. So I am told the eye doctor prescribed lenses for far away—not what i initially went in for!! That’s another appointment!! And the contacts have to be ordered!! If I had it to do all over again, I would not have went to this three ring circus. Three months after making an appointment I’m back to where I started!
