I have lived and worked in several different places across the country. So over the years, I’ve been a patient at a dozen different optometrists offices. The best experience I’ve ever had is here at Deerwood Family Eyecare in the Baymeadows Southside Jacksonville area. Dr Shearer is a master of his craft and he has assembled a very professional team who treat people very well. I am very pleased with my care. Thank you guys!

Dr. Shearer and his team are awesome. I started seeing him last year. Came in recently to have my glasses repaired under the warranty and they were able to quickly replace the lens without any hassle. Fast (efficient) and friendly care team.

Very Friendly staff. They welcome everybody who walks through the door and offer them coffee and water. The Doctor, Front staff, and Assistants are very accommodating and make the exams painless and informative. I initially chose this provider since it was closer to home than the Visionworks (which had very rude staff and wanted to upcharge my copays). They scheduled me same day for an annual exam as well as a diabetic eye exam a week later. Awesome. Selection of frames is excellent; offering great styles across the best brands. I was even able to get a rad frame in a different color than the display, which most places won’t do. If you’re looking for a great eye doctor that has a great office atmosphere, then check this place out and support a small business!
