I took my new prescription in and Linda helped me try on and select 2 different pairs. One with blue blocker for computer screen and the other with transition darkening for outdoor sunglasses pair. Great experience and was very impressed with how much knowledge Linda has. Very helpful and customer service oriented. 5/2026 I accidentally damaged one of my lenses and Tracy was happy to help. She remade new lenses under warranty and sent a text when they were ready. I showed up at lunchtime and Tracy delayed her lunch to take care of me. This place is great and I highly recommend them.

Love that we are able to find an independent eyewear provider. It makes a big difference in quality and fit. My husband and I are very pleased with the four pair of glasses from Dietz-McLean Optical. We each elected new frames and lenses and replaced lenses in existing sunglass frames. The shop had a nice variety of frame choices, plenty to choose from, but not overwhelm and at different price points. We appreciated that there was no upsell to add coatings and whenever we looked at a higher priced pair of frames, this was gently pointed out so that we were not surprised. Linda was well versed on the different lens, tints, and other lens coatings and guided us in making choices we are very happy about. The 2 year frame damage warranty was a huge bonus. We will definitely return.

Highly recommend going to this specific location for new glasses! We used to go to the Dietz McLean location at Bitters, but followed Linda Hartung out to Boerne. It was well worth the trip. My husband and I both needed new glasses, and she made recommendations based on the prescription that we needed and how the glasses would look on our respective faces. She was fantastic! You won’t be disappointed, just make sure to make an appointment as she is the only one there.
