Dr. Allen Shapiro

I recently change my eye doctor and Shapiro Optical was recommended. I have worn glasses my whole life and have had my share of horrible stories. However it all changed the day I walk into this shop. The personal attention I received was phenomenal. From the moment I walked in until I picked up the glasses I was treated with respect. I decided to bring my son in for a new pair of everyday glasses and a set of sport glasses. The lady at the reception desk was very informative. She helped me every step of the way and was extremely patient with my son. I left the shop truly satisfied with the quality of my purchase and the professionalism of my visit. I would highly recommend Shapiro Optical to everyone.

I have been a customer for over five years and ALWAYS have very good experiences when I come to Shapiro Optical. I will not go anywhere else for my eye exams, eyeglasses or contacts. The office is clean, the staff is friendly and professional and the services are very affordable. I definitely recommend this office. You will be in great hands and will be treated like family.

As Ronald said before me, the older lady there is very sweet but it's taking FOREVER to get my glasses. I got my eyes checked last week Monday and was told my glasses should be ready to pick up by Friday. I call since I wasn't called about my glasses and they still aren't done. I call Saturday, and the next day and the next day. I keep getting the runaround. The man Andrew who cuts the lenses doesn't have a "normal" schedule and I keep getting told that he'll cut them on "such-and-such" day. It is now Tuesday and I go away to school and I STILL don't have my glasses. Am I know supposed to wait till May after the semester is over to not have headaches because of my eyes? I let them know repeatedly I can't be waiting till the last minute for these glasses. I don't have time. Just as I was going to go in to pick them up today, they tell me I should come in in the evening when I'm going to be on my way to school! Very unprofessional. At least be upfront and let me know I'll be waiting. Don't give me random dates and times if you are not sure. That makes it worse. Hopefully I get my glasses in time before I go off for a whole 4 months because the headaches I get are leave me unable to work when I have many papers to do and so on.

Rec specs maxx liberty mx30-- These glasses are only worth 99.00 at most if you google them. However I went there with my husband with a groupon voucher that included and eye exam. Not only were they rude and sent us away. They advised us to come back with the prescription. (altho the goupon states eye exam included.) They sold the glasses to my husband for $400 (men) he's not very savvy at shopping. Upon googling these glasses I realized they are only worth 99.00 at most. I feel that they didn't honor the groupon which was valued at $285.00 and over priced the glasses and to make matters worse they didn't even give him the free eye exam that was included. In addition I would like to add that they took over 4 weeks to have the glasses ready. HORRIBLE experience. They never even called me to tell me that they had arrived I had to go in person to find a senior behind the computer who basically told me to shout out for the person in the back room. Very unprofessional in every aspect and I will let everyone know not to come here!! I will also contact groupon and ask for a refund.

You can tell that this place is going down. It looks shiny and new but the young lady at the front desk has the nastiest attitude. I went in for a consultation for contacts and while I was on time I waited 45 minutes for Dr. Shapiro to even see me. After the consultation I tried to ask questions about how we proceed from here and the girl was like we'll if you're not doing anything now I can't help you. I mean if you don't want to be at your job don't take it out on me. Their customer service is in the toilet. I had been going there since 2012 but I will not be going again.
