Had my first eye appointment at Dr. Brent Brown + Dr. Josh Elam’s office on Tuesday. The office administrator was great and my appointment with Dr. Elam was great, but when I was sent over to the eyewear department, they wouldn’t give me my contacts prescription until I had worn the trial lenses for a couple of days… ok no big deal. I try my trial contacts and my eyes are so red and dry. I realize the trials I was given are THREE YEARS expired! I call to ask for more trial lenses and the woman in the eyewear department told me, “We don’t do that after your prescription is finalized. We can’t give you another trial.” Well the trial I was given was expired! She says she’ll ask the doctor and call me back… nothing. I finally go up there after an hour of waiting and she tries to tell me no again.. so I show her the expired lenses. She went and “looked” in the back and said they had no trial contacts in my strength. None. At all. In any brand. Sure. I have been wearing contacts for 18 years I have never been given grief about getting trial contacts.
