I don't normally post reviews, but this needs to be viewed by others. Been wearing rimless glasses for over 20 years with a love/hate relationship to them. Love how light they are but hate how fragile they can be. After a change in company insurance, I was forced to find another vision provider. West Ga Vision Center was referred to me, so I made the appointment. First impressions were not great, but it was not a bad experience either. I purchased glasses with all the bells and whistles including polarized lenses at a cost of approximately $1,500. Insurance covered the majority, but I was still out of pocket for quite a bit. Three months later, one of the lenses had a crack right where the holes were drilled. I called them, they wanted me to bring them in for inspection. They told me it would take two weeks to get the replacement lenses, and that I would have to pay for the lab work. This frustrated me as I had also purchased a warranty plan with the new glasses. I was told it was out of their hands and that I would have to pay for the lab. Also, I was required to pay that lab fee up front before they would proceed. What other choice did I have? I paid the fee of $141.00 and got out of there, not happy at all. I was told two weeks, which turned into four weeks later before my glasses were ready. When I picked up my glasses, I could feel the tension in the room, like they were offended by me (the customer) for expecting better service from them. I told them, as nicely as I could that I would never be back to see them in the future. I would rather drive to Columbus or Newnan than be treated like that again. Now, three months into the replacement glasses, the same thing has happened yet again. One lens is cracked at the drill hole. I'm not rough on my glasses and take special care by keeping them in the case every night when I take them off. This is just inferior materials and workmanship by the lab they use, the same lab that I had to pay for even though I had a warranty on the glasses. Am I going to call them about the recent cracked lens? No way. I'm sticking to my guns and not setting foot back in that place. I will use a spare pair, make an appointment with someone else and go from there. It's just ridiculous to pay that much for glasses, then have them break, under warranty, yet still have to pay for the lab fee. Even Walmart Vision Center does a better job of taking care of the customer. If your glasses break, they just replace them, no charge to you whatsoever, no questions asked. I hope this never happens to anyone else. I just felt compelled to warn people of what they might expect from this vision center. Not mad, but not happy. Lesson learned, time to move on.

I could not wait to get home and write this review! Dr. John Whitlow was absolutely amazing. He was professional, kind, compassionate, and had a great sense of humor. I got some bad news about my eyes, but he was caring and kind breaking the news to me. One of his greatest attributes was his lack of judgment. I don't have a lot of money, but he never treated me as such. I will never go anywhere else and will always recommend this doctor and staff! Thank y'all for helping me see again. 🤓
Dr witlow is amazing! Quick fun and easy. I got my contacts the same day (thank god) a lot of cute selections of glasses. The staff was very helpful and kind. I will be using them for all of my vision needs in the future 10/10 recommend
I got an appointment the same day. The process of checking in was very easy. The office is very nice and the ladies up front are very professional, have great attitudes, and very attentive to patient needs. Very warm and inviting environment. The Doctor made me feel very comfortable and explained everything that was going on. He went over how to use the medication he was giving me and made sure all my questions were answered before leaving. He's very pleasant and kept me laughing which made me more relaxed so he could do his job. Great job West GA Vision Center.👍👍👍
I've always avoided going to the eye doctor until I came here. Dr. (John) Whitlow is such a wonderful optometrist! He was so polite and welcoming. Most eye doctors I've been to have been really short with me and just rude. He took the time to answer any and all questions I had in regards to my appointment, eye glasses, and contacts. He even gave me tips on how to make wearing my contacts easier. My family will never go to another eye doctor again. He was absolutely amazing!!!!! :)
