Appointments in the evening, particularly the last few appointments before closing, result in the doctor being extremely impatient. He tends to not explain how the tests he is performing will work, even when it is clear the patient is having difficulties and is nervous, then get frustrated with the patient for their own uncontrollable reflexes. If you didn’t know that an object was supposed to touch your eye ball, would you too instinctively pull away when something is coming very close to it?

From the time you check in til the time you check out and all the steps in between, you get smiles and happy attitudes. Need an explanation for something? Just ask! The office staff, tech, and doc will keep explaining until you understand. AWESOME experience!!

Staff was friendly. I think Dr. Sawyer saved my eye! I had been misdiagnosed twice with a corneal abrasion and after further discomfort, I visited him. He referred me promptly to a specialist advanced enough to care for what turned out to be something rare. I am grateful that I got the help I needed and Dr. Sawyer put me on the right path.
