Best eye doctor experience I’ve ever had. Every step was strangely joyful!? As I was received by one of the staff for my initial assessment, she was overwhelmingly kind and explained things thoroughly. The doctor I saw who went over my results and did further testing was the exact same, kind and thorough! It felt more like a salon I’d been going to for years and all the members know my name and compliment and help me but this was my first time in?? The other staff member who helped me with my frame selection and checkout was more helpful than I’ve ever experienced or expected to. She helped me find glasses that fit the style I wanted, that fit my head and would go well with my facial structure and colors I wear on a regular basis. It was so bizarre given that every other experience I’ve had at an eye doctor has either been mundane or uncomfortable in some instances. If I can help it I’m going to always be seen at a Tavel.

This location is so awful!!!!! Communication sucks. It has been well over a month and my daughter still has not received her glasses. When I purchased the glasses they said it would take 2 weeks max, then it went to 30 days. 30 days turned into 36 days and counting because we still haven’t received them. Asked for a refund & was told they don’t do refunds only store credit. Was also told because the glasses were special order & they are coming from Italy, then received a voicemail stating that they have come in the lab has them and putting frames in & should be here by the 30th still nothing. I wouldn’t dare trust these people word at all.
Made my appointment online and was seen the same day. My experience was great! I was greeted and taken care of. They have a wide selection of glasses. Thank you Dr. Tavel and employees for the amazing service.
While the optometrist was great, the guy that worked at the front desk and prepares you for the optometrist has an absolutely horrible attitude, lack of people skills, and acted as if his presence was a blessing for us, but it doesn’t stop there, the lady that fits you for the glasses at the end of your appointment was just as nasty and unprofessional. Anytime I’ve gone to order or be fitted for a pair of glasses, they checked them while on my face and made sure the fit was right, but not this one, she had as little to do with my grandson as possible. My grandson and I had to see if the glasses fit right. So not on top of all the many hats that a Parent has to wear, add optometrist to the list. I wasn’t at all surprised when I had to call The office after a month to see had the glasses even came in. They had been there for an ENTIRE month and no one even let us know that they had arrived. 😔THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT and not a very welcoming one.
I scheduled an appointment months ago for June 18th at 12:15. Today, I went to look at the address for directions and saw that the location was temporarily closed. I called the phone number and their voice message said they were closed until June 17th for renovations, so I assumed perhaps Google just hadn’t been updated. I took my lunch break and drove to the location to find that they were in fact still closed. I called the number on the door and told them the situation and they told me they had no record of any appointment. I said how could that be - I got a text on June 6th confirming my appointment for June 18th at 12:15. They reiterated that they weren’t showing an appointment for me and that there was nothing they could do. To me, that is horrible customer service. I am a single mother. My time is precious and often times, my lunch break is the only time I have to do things for myself. No one communicated with me that this location was closed and I therefore wasted my entire lunch break driving there, talking on the phone with Tavel, and driving back to work. I am now out of contacts and have completely wasted my time. I have gone to Tavel my whole life but they just lost my business.
