Dr. Bailey is wonderful! He takes time with his patients and truly cares. I was seen on 7/9 and following my appt with Dr. Bailey I ordered new glasses and paid for them, as expected. The promise date of them being ready was 7/23. I have called the office on many different days since 7/23, more than 5 times, and have received no information other than “when we look in our system they show that they are still in progress”. I was told each time that the situation would be looked into and that I would receive a call back from their manager, Angelica. It’s 7/31 and I still have yet to receive a call back. One of the employees, Melinda (I believe was her name), was most helpful by taking it upon herself to call the lab to see if she could get an answer but the lab was closed, and when she called me to tell me she also said that her manager said that she should not have done that… Melinda I am thankful that you tried to help me and it appears that your patient care and service may be better than your manager’s. I will continue to see Dr. Bailey because of his patient care but the communication and patient care/service from the manager’s side could be better.

Took my son to Dr. Bailey on 4/13 for the first time and the experience with him was great. After the exam we were led to an associate to check out. The lady seemed very frazzled and informed us her computer was down. She was unsure if we needed a followup because of his new contact lens prescription and said she would call and let us know as we had another appointment and couldn’t wait for their system. We were told before the exam we would receive an email with both contact and glasses prescriptions in the next 48 hours. We only received the glasses prescription and called for the contacts. The associate on the phone was very helpful and promptly sent us the email. When my son tried the contacts they were a different size and too small for his eyes making his vision blurry. We called and left a voice mail on 5/7 and never received a call back. We stopped by the office on 5/11 and were told someone would call us back. It is now 5/18 and we have received no help. The entire reason we went with Eye Care of Lexington was to get my son a new contact lens prescription as he was out. This office was able to see us much sooner than July. It has now been over a month since our visit and he still doesn’t have a contact lens prescription for comfortable contacts. We have called and visited and gotten no answers. I am leaving this review hoping someone higher up will actually call us back.
Great experience! Staff went over and beyond for my family. Dr. Bailey is very personable, caring and trustworthy. Chelsea and Lauren went above and beyond the extra steps to make sure we had everything we needed. You guys are absolutely fantastic! This place treated us like people instead of a number. Thank you again :)
The staff were extremely kind (hence the three stars). They lose two stars because I feel like they try to charge as much as they can out of you. I brought my daughter in, and they charged me $39 for a retinal screening. When I questioned it, they didn’t elaborate more than “insurance doesn’t cover it.” I found that odd, since my daughter’s retina has been examined before in other clinics. I called the insurance company today and they said that it is correct, that photographic imaging is not covered. But retinal exams are included in the comprehensive exam. The office did not clarify this with me, the difference between the exam and the imaging. I would have passed on the $39 imaging. I just called the last clinic I used and they said they include the photographic imaging in their comprehensive exam. They also require their contact lenses patients to have yearly exams. I will get an exam and order a lot of contacts to last me awhile. I have healthy eyes (just need contacts for vision). I’ve been wearing glasses since I was 6 and contact lenses since I was 10. For myself, I think a yearly exam is excessive. I will probably find somewhere else for our family to go in the future. If you are not on a budget (like myself), the office was very clean and the staff were very friendly. They just priced me out with all their extra charges.
Summer was such a big help! She’s the blonde at the desk with the really cool pink keyboard. She’s very nice and helped me with my frames, as well as told me everything I needed to know. I am so thankful to have a wonderful experience here! Thank you
