Well I am all about my doctors office just being honest. They knew I was new to my insurance and I thought I was only going to pay for $10 copay and they apparently did a retinol eye exam again which I understand is important but that was an extra $39. That i did not.prepare to pay for . I will not be going back. Too bad.
I am very happy with Edgewood Eye Center. Dr. Carr made me feel very comfortable and the rest of his staff is very nice. I would highly recommended them.
Really easy to make appointments, convenient location, every staff member has been friendly, pleasant and professional. Dr Ian Carr does a great job of explaining exams and really listens to any of my problems and concerns. Exceptional eye care!
I screwed up an appointment time (I was in central time zone when I entered it on calendar). Completely my fault. Showed up an hour late. First time I have ever been late. I backed myself into a bad corner because I needed glasses for my FAA pilot physical in order to continue to do my job. Physical was in 8 days. Desperately offered any time night or day in the next 7 days, due to the critical need. Zero help. Rescheduled me for a month later. Dr. Bertke and his mother(also Dr. Bertke) have always seemed to be so very kind and helpful, but staff not willing to try at all to go above in any way for a customer in need.
We love Edgewood Eye Center and have been going there for years! Our eye doctor, Dr. Carr, knows our history and takes great care of us whether it's eye exams or medical issues with our eyes. Sheila, our optometrist, always does a fantastic job helping us pick glasses and getting the right fit. I've never felt the same level of care and concern anywhere else.
