This place was awful. My husband was there for rehab. The lack of care was very disturbing, not to mention frustrating. And, its worrisome for those who don't have an advocate. I had to "meet his needs" continually because of what I was told - "we are short staffed". I do have to say that the PT staff that took care of him and 3 of his nurses and 2 aides were caring and encouraging. Some reasons to avoid this place are: My husband needed pain medication. When I asked for it I was told he can't have any until the medication nurse returns from the dining room. It was her turn to stay there in case a resident chokes. I asked why another nurse can't go down and stay there so the medication nurse can run up and give him a pain pill. I was told she can't. So, he stayed in pain until she returned an hour later! Another reason: I had to request that someone look at him. After a nurse did she found that he was dehydrated and had thrush in his mouth. To her amazement she didn't understand why the thrush wasn't noticed. He was given medication and an IV. He was admitted to St. Joseph's the next day. And, thankfully didn't have to go back there! NEVER AGAIN!!!

Just awful. Got my dad kicked off of Medicare after he'd only been recovering for a little while. The physical therapist said he was ready to go home, but the poor guy could still barely stand. Had to involve an ombudsman but they still charged us an obscene amount of money. On top of that they kept my dad in a room with another man who had COVID for a week. They refused to move him even though my dad is high risk (he has COPD) and did test positive for COVID himself. It's a miracle he didn't catch it. The young people who worked there are nice (I hope they can find better jobs) but the rest of the staff had no idea what was going on most of the time.

As you walk in the door to visit, no one gives the rules to follow while visiting and if you get it wrong, the administration is rude in letting you about it. My father fell once and they tried to cover it up. I tried calling him and couldn’t get an answer. When I called the nurses station and told them I was trying to reach him but couldn’t, they had a nurse go in there, woke him up out of a sound sleep and told him to answer his phone!! I heard all of this as she picked up the phone, told him to answer his phone and then handed it to him She couldn’t have just told me he was sleeping?!?!?!?!? What ever happened to respect for the elders, common courtesy, decency, manners?!?! But then I guess you get what you pay for!!!!!

I'm staying here, it was the closest to my home town. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Extremely understaffed! Rude, overworked staff. I waited 35 minutes to get an answer. My roommate helped me get all to stuff out of my way, so I could go to the bathroom. It's old and dirty and I will leave as soon as I can.

WARNING!!!! WITH ALL MY HEART I URGE YOU TO READ THIS BEFORE SUBJECTING ANYONE YOU LOVE TO THIS FACILITY!!!! If you truly care about your loved ones in any way, shape, or form, I strongly urge you not to allow your family members to reside in this facility. As a licensed hospice CNA myself, I am appalled, deeply disturbed, and profoundly disappointed by what I have witnessed here. The level of care provided — on every level — is unacceptable. The CNAs are not providing even basic care. My uncle has gone an entire week without being bathed. He has been left covered in his own feces and urine for extended periods of time, and this has happened on multiple occasions — more times than I can count on one hand. When family members call seeking answers, we are met with dismissive attitudes rather than accountability. Overnight, he is not being checked on appropriately. He is not assisted to the bathroom. He is not helped with eating as required. There have been ongoing concerns about whether he is consistently receiving his proper medications. Communication with the family is severely lacking, my mother is his health care proxy and they consistently fail to contact her as well as return ANY of her phone calls. When communication does occur, it is often rude and unprofessional. Do not be misled by the smiling photos and positive images posted on their social media pages. Those images do not reflect the reality of the care being provided inside this facility. From my experience, the focus appears to be financial gain rather than the well-being and dignity of the residents entrusted to them. This situation is heartbreaking and disgraceful. Every staff member who knowingly allows this level of neglect should take a hard look at their professional and ethical responsibilities. One day, each of us may find ourselves or our loved ones dependent on the care of others. No one deserves to be treated this way. Let’s not overlook the fact that staff members take however much time they personally feel is necessary, if they choose to respond at all, when a patient’s call light is on. At times, it has taken up to thirty minutes for someone to respond. On some occasions, no one has come at all. Just yesterday, another patient sharing a room with my family member fell twice. My family member’s daughter had to scream at the top of her lungs just to get staff to respond and assist in putting this individual back into bed. No family member should ever be placed in the position of having to beg for basic patient safety measures. It has become painfully clear that staff appear to pick and choose who they attend to and when—if at all. This inconsistency in care is not only unacceptable, it is dangerous. This facility is unsafe. It is ill-equipped in every aspect, unprofessional, and severely lacking in adequate knowledgeable, kind, caring staffing. Even more concerning is the absence of basic human decency and the inability to consistently manage the fundamental responsibilities required for patient care.
