My first time ever getting my annual comprehensive eye exam with Eye care Associates and I was pleased with the visit. I think I waited slightly longer than I anticipated. However, my experience from signing in as a new patient, to Zy doing her part of my exam, to my actual exam with Dr. Kurtz and finally getting my glasses ordered with the nice, patiently helpful young lady who helped me. I sure wish I could recall her name. Anyway, they all made it a pleasant experience and I can hardly wait to try my new glasses and prescription sunglasses that will be on time for the summer. Thanks to everyone at Eyecare Associates in Troy, AL for your service.
How do I exam at eye care associates thought everything was great. The staff was nice and everything. But in the end instead of a wellness exam which is covered totally by my insurance they build it with a diagnosis of cataract I’m 70 years old. There’s no way a 70 year-old woman’s not gonna end up having some type of cataract. Dr. Kurtz said it was nothing to be worried about for several years. I got a pair of glasses because I hadn’t had any new glasses in several years and they don’t work for me. They didn’t tell me that they were too large for the Progressive lens to fit into so therefore if I put them back in stock I had to pay a stocking fee. I’m so done with them. Now they’re continuing to bill me for a $35 co-pay, which is absolutely ridiculous they may get it…….
Used my one year old frames for a new prescription. I picked them up and put them on after leaving once and the screws that are made onto the frame broke inside the lense. Took them back inside and was told there was nothing they could do. No warranty. No discount. No refund. Put them on once and they broke.
Dr. Is great and very personable! But the staff are less than desirable, Gave me glasses I didn’t order and then told me cause it was through my insurance they couldn’t do anything about it…finding a new eye doctor
