I have been a patient at this office for several years now. I hadn’t had a bad experience until today. I went in to get my glasses adjusted, when the worker brought them back to me, I noticed they seemed to be very smudged in the left lens to the point I couldn’t see out of that lens but figured I could clean them once I got home. I tried cleaning and cleaning but nothing made the smudging go away. So I went back into the office, explained what was going on and asking if they could fix the issue. After a few minutes of waiting, the lady behind the checkout desk told me that my lenses were just “old”(only have had them for a little over 1.5 years). She said it’s called lens crazing. I asked her why it happened when I got my glasses adjusted? She insisted that they were like that before my adjustment. I insisted back that there was NO WAY they were like that before and just want to know what happened and how to fix them. This lady became very rude, defensive, and told me she could maybe send them off to be fixed, but since they are so old they may not do it and it would be better to set up an eye appointment and get new ones. I told her I only had prescription sunglasses and I cannot go weeks without glasses. She seemed very inconvenienced, rude, and didn’t care that I was going to be without vision for so long. This business lost a customer today. It turns out that if the heat is turned up too high, it can cause heat grazing to lenses….so instead of taking responsibility for their actions, they just tried to blame the customer and talk them into spending more money. This worker should be ashamed at their behavior!
