I had a scheduled appointment for an eye exam at the Eye Center store in Plaza Carolina at 11:00 a.m. Forty-six minutes later, I left because the store supervisor, Claudia Pérez, violated my rights. As soon as I arrived, while she was attending to an elderly couple, she asked for my health insurance card and ID. She told me to take a seat. I sat on the other side of the counter, the only empty seat. With the store full, she tried to fill out my file while attending to the elderly couple. She yelled at me from the other side of the store and asked for my phone number. I stood in front of her. I whispered my number to her. She said she couldn't hear me, and I asked her not to shout my personal information. She told me I could wait. I told her I preferred that to her shouting my personal information. I waited. When it was my turn, she told me she had to call the health insurance company and that if I was uncomfortable, I could choose not to be seen there. She said she speaks loudly and that she couldn't do anything about it. I told her that my right as a patient is to have my privacy respected. She said I needed to modulate my voice to protect my privacy. She told me that's how she operates, that she wasn't going to change, and that I had the option of going to one of the four other opticians in the mall. That she wasn't going to argue with me. I asked her who the supervisor was. "It's me," the woman said. I asked her if she was aware that she was violating my rights and privacy. Her response was that I had the option of going somewhere else. Since I'm not going to tolerate violence and mistreatment, I asked for my card and left. I can't even explain how I feel. Don't go there. Violent and racist people are exhausting. She didn't treat anyone else there that way in the 45 minutes I was there. And well, we've been labeled as violent, loud, and foul-mouthed. We know how this works… I take a breath and try to process all this experience, which adds to so many others… @eyecenterboutique @eyecenterdorado @optica_eyecenter @optica_eyecenter @eyecenterboutiquecatalinasmall I hope the franchise colleagues of the lady at the Eye Center in Plaza Carolina call her in. She's doing serious damage to that brand and company.

2/03/25 Today at 12:40 p.m., I visited this optician's for an eye exam and glasses. I greeted the employee, who was dark-haired and a bit overweight, but she didn't respond. She ignored me and continued serving the person who was already seated. It was her responsibility to return the greeting and say, "You can sit down, I'll be with you right away," but she remained silent and didn't react. I'm disappointed because this isn't the first time I've gotten my glasses done there. I would appreciate it if you could advise the employee that they need to be courteous and friendly to customers. This is a one-time occurrence.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. I arrived at the store and the first thing I saw was the employee lying down in her chair. Her first comment after seeing us was, "I was so comfortable..." She was indifferent and showed little desire to help anyone. We won't be back.

I give them a 0 for service. Their frames are from Zeelol, they take too long, and their counter employees don't provide complete information. This store should train its employees on how to provide quality service. They violate HIPAA regulations, which I understand they're unfamiliar with. If I could give them -0, I would. I'm still waiting for a call from the president of Eye Center Boutique. If you disagree with something, call them. File a complaint with your health insurance provider. If you have Medicare, call Medicare and file a complaint.

I called to check if they had some Ray-Ban frames. The girl just told me, "I don't know. You have to come and check yourself." What a terrible service!
