I walk into ECL & immediately was greeted by the receptionist. Took only 5 minutes to see the Dr. Very professional & friendly. The eye wear staff was very helpful & friendly. I got the glasses I wanted without any hassles. Love ECL!

I had an issue with my left eye that reacured and the office worked very quickly to get me in for a return visit to see Dr. Kordyzon and have it treated. The office staff, especially Emily are great every time I visit.
Their current office manager will run this place into the ground. Poor fee policy & privacy violation. In August 2024, they called the same day of my children's eye appointments to inform us they no longer accepted our health insurance because they were dropped and canceled our children's appointments when we could not pay out of pocket. Fast forward to March 2026 when we tried to make appointments for our children. We found out one of them had a $50 fee for that same day cancelation. First why only one? Because some one messed up and forgot to waive it in their system when THEY canceled it. To schedule we had to pay it. Their office manager refused to waive it and was rude stating we had a different type of vision not health insurance Not true as I did not have that since I left an old employer in 2019. I tried to explain this. He would not listen, gaslit me, admitted he was lying several times. His office staff read me their notes which confirmed my story and my husband's story (the truth). I swear I am not a crazy patient that makes stuff up. I never have issues with anyone. He called me a liar, told my husband and I several different stories, refused to send me their notes on my children’s files, and then informed me myself and my children were no longer patients at Eye Center of Lenawee. I was not rude, did not yell, or curse. He was rude, condescending, and sarcastic though. I requested he send me a letter stating what insurance he stated I had for my son along with all records and notes on file for my son and daughter. Instead, he sent a note stating insurance on file for my stepson not my son in 2019 and no files or notes. He then sent me a letter stating my children, myself, my husband, step-son, my husband's ex-wife's ex-husband were no longer welcome there because I challenged his authority. I was not rude, or belligerent. He commited a privacy violation as my stepson is not my child and is an adult as of 2026. I didn't need to know my husband's ex-wife's ex-husband is a current patient either. As for not returning, not a problem. We are in mutual agreement at this point. All over a $50 fee he lost thousands if dollars in busness as we have been consumers there for well over a decade and loved our eye doctor. I am so sad we cannot see her any more because of him. I have no idea where we will go for glasses, contacts, and our care. Update: I have informed those who had their personal health information breached. They are going through the proper chanels with that. Word of mouth spreads fast as our extended family is huge and they have informed others and now a good 100 plus people are now dropping them. We have a very large family and a very WELL KNOWN and loved family/last name in the area.
At the end of April, I saw Dr. Frey for burning eyes and was told it was dry eyes, with only home remedies recommended. After two weeks with no improvement, I called back, but she refused to consider further treatment until a month passed. Meanwhile, I was struggling at my new job. After a month and a half, I saw an ophthalmologist, a medical doctor, who identified allergies. With prescribed drops, I improved in two days. I’d only recommend Dr. Frey for basic vision needs—anything beyond that, I’d look elsewhere.
The staff is always very kind to everyone. Additionally there were two times in recent months that my family needed care and to be seen by one of the doctors on short notice and I found them to be very accommodating. In one particular case the circumstances were very time sensitive and a referral was made to another doctor to perform a necessary procedure.
