I strongly encourage anyone considering this practice to look elsewhere. Despite having the first appointment of the day, I was forced to wait well over two hours before being seen. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated incident—it seems to be a direct result of chronic overbooking and poor office management. The receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional, making an already frustrating experience even worse. Adding to the problem, no one ever answers the phone. Trying to reach the office is nearly impossible, and getting answers to simple questions becomes an unnecessary ordeal. My father was a physician in Racine and was friends with Dr. Pruitt and Dr. Singh. Knowing the level of professionalism and patient care they valued, I believe they would be appalled by how this practice is being run today. The billing is another constant source of frustration. Charges seem to be incorrect on a regular basis, and I have had to deal with repeated billing errors and improper charges. Patients should not have to spend their time correcting mistakes that shouldn't happen in the first place. The office also appears to routinely double-book appointments. I have personally watched elderly patients sit in the waiting room for hours waiting to be seen. It's disappointing and disrespectful to patients' time. The move to the newer location has only made things worse. The new office feels smaller than the previous practice and does not seem capable of handling the volume of patients being scheduled. The only positive thing I can say is that the women who handle glasses and contact lens orders are always pleasant, professional, and helpful. They are the only staff members who consistently treat patients with kindness and respect. Between the excessive wait times, rude front-desk staff, unanswered phones, recurring billing mistakes, and constant overbooking, this has been one of the most frustrating healthcare experiences I've had. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

My experience @ the Eye Center was very professional & overwhelming. I would definitely recommend this to my friends & others. Everyone made me feel comfortable throughout my surgery. Looking forward to seeing the staff for my second surgery. Thanks so much for your care and support.
I'm new to this area, first time going here. Reading past reviews makes me think they have new hires because the staff was not welcoming or engaging at all. I don't think one person smiled! I felt like it was like an assembly line. The staff who did the eye exams and dialation were very impersonal. Once I actually saw the Dr, she was pleasant. The check out person was again not personable. She almost seemed irritated. I just think in a service driven industry, the level of care is important but also how you treat people is important.
I would not choose this practice again. I paid approximately $6,000 extra for premium cataract lenses with the expectation that I would only need reading glasses after surgery. Unfortunately, I still need glasses for driving and watching TV. For several months I have been asking for an explanation and possible solutions. At my June 8 appointment, I was told the doctor would discuss my case with the surgeon and get back to me. As of July 3, I have received no response. I also sent a message through the patient portal and have not received a reply. My frustration is not only with the outcome, but with the lack of communication. There has been a pattern of unanswered calls, delayed responses, and no clear follow-up regarding my concerns. I understand that medical procedures do not always produce perfect results. What I cannot understand is why no one will clearly explain what happened, what options are available, or when I can expect answers. Patients deserve timely communication and follow-through.
My experiences at the Eye Centers of Racine & Kenosha have been great over the last two years. My first optometrist was great and I was given another one who is just as great. Both were very pleasant and personable. Support staff has always been welcoming too.
