I recently took my niece to see Dr. Clark because she was experiencing blurry vision, and we had an excellent experience from start to finish. The entire staff was friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. Dr. Clark has one of the best bedside manners I have seen in a very long time. He was incredibly kind, patient, and thorough throughout the appointment. He took the time to explain everything in a way that my niece could easily understand and made sure all of our questions were answered. We never felt rushed and truly felt that he cared about providing the best possible care. I highly recommend Dr. Clark to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, compassionate, and attentive optometrist.

As always Dr Maxwell and the optometry staff were great, very professional and efficient and as always Robert and the repair dept were great which I really appreciate! The staff who sell the glasses were organized and professional on this visit and my wait time was minimal. I buy glasses here due to the repair dept.. but I might not have if the salespeople had been rude. Thankfully they are back to high standards! One notation: It's hard to pick out glasses when your eyes are dilated.

Ok- frustrated! Had an eye appointment with Dr. Clark a couple of weeks ago-my left eye changed a bit and I bought new Meta AI glasses to have my prescription put on. 2 plus weeks later the glasses arrived. Went in to check the prescription. Left eye update couldn’t even see blurry and the lenses were supposed to be light grey wearing inside and gradient to dark outside. The lenses came in black!! No apologies at all. By the way I paid $973 to get my prescription on these glasses. Ok- wait another 2 weeks to get an appointment for there mistake then wait another 2-3 weeks to get them back. I will update this review when they come in and see if they fixed there mistake. And yes you wait forever to see someone even with an appointment. What’s the point. I doubt they will reach out to me

For years, I would go to Walmart to get my eye exams, contacts, and frames, etc. One day I met a very nice lady name Regina, who enlightened me about Vision Center South; they had to offer. I booked an exam, ordered contacts, and glasses. I was very impressed with a variety eye care services they offered. Regina, took her time assisting me with picking out a very nice pair of glasses. My experience was great, and I especially impressed with Regina. I’ll be coming back.

I am disappointed to report many negative issues after going to Vision South several times in the last year with my husband. I will first list the non-disability-friendly experiences: 1. Vision South campus does not have many handicapped parking spots which means if you are disabled you may have to park far away (this happened to us several times) 2. When you check in at the desk on the right, the girls will not let you sit down to read the three pages you have to sign (this happened several times as well). They tell you that you have to read/sign standing there at the counter. I have asked on two separate occasions if I can sit down to read/sign and they tell you no. 3. You will have to go to several waiting rooms as the center is very big and not personalized at all 4. When they check your eye pressure, if the equipment is not calibrated properly, it will give them an error. They told me that for every error message they have to check six more times which caused my eyes to feel scratched after checking pressure about 20-30 times in each eye. No one will listen to you if you tell them it is getting uncomfortable despite my having normal eye pressures the year before (and I still do). 5. The lab (or optometrist), they never told us which, made a mistake on my husband’s lens which had to be redone two different times! Then they will bill you for their mistake. When you explain this to billing, they never call back to say we are not getting charged for their mistake. 6. When you get your eyes checked, they will automatically authorize optical insurance for the exam and the glasses (even if you don’t want glasses that day). They told me they did not have the ability to trace my current frames so I told them I would find someone who could so that I would not be without glasses for a week or so. Even though they knew I was going somewhere else that day, they did not close my insurance authorization so that when I went to another optical place, they could not help me that day because Vision South still has my insurance authorization open. Beware if you have optical insurance and want to get frames or lens the same day somewhere else. The new optical center I was working with says Vision South does this ALL THE TIME in locking in your eye insurance authorization the day you get your eyes checked which means you have to call them to close it in order to work with a different center. 7. My husband told them three times not to authorize the optical insurance portion that day when getting his eyes examined. When he went to a different optical place that day, they said Vision South had his insurance open and locked and we had to quickly call them before they closed at 5 pm so they could release his insurance so he could get glasses elsewhere. This was after he told Vision South before, during and after the eye exam not to open/authorize our insurance for glasses/lens. 8. Despite buying scratch resistant glasses from Vision South, my glasses were scratched horribly after only 6-7 months! I have been buying glasses with scratch resistance for over 20 years and never had them get scratched up this easily. I just noticed several other reviewers having the same issue. The new optical center said that someone in the lab did not give enough time for the scratch resistant coating to finish baking in. It was horrible walking around with severely scratched lens! Too many issues, not disability friendly, it is a shame as they have a lovely center there but need to make many, many improvements for example if a patient tells you they are uncomfortable after you have been poking their eyes 20 times, you need to listen and be more sensitive instead of forcing them to continue to be tested due to faulty instruments on your end.
