Dr. Nolan is such a great Opthamologist that we were over the moon to find he was on our new insurance plan. He has safe-guarded both my husband’s and my eyesight through the years. His staff is wonderful, from the front desk to the fabulous technicians who perform initial testing. We are blessed to have them all.

My wife and I both are patients of Dr Nolan My Wife for cataract surgery myself for a clarification on my left eye. Dr Nolan was great my wife followed all his instructions and has done very well . Thank You Dr Nolan I found the staff to be friendly and very helpful. I'd like to give a special compliment to Chris she was great friendly making me feel comfortable a very good experience.Give this Lady a Raise $$$
First, let me start by saying that Dr. Nolan and his staff are very accommodating. He gives a very thorough exam and answers questions you may have in a way that is easy to comprehend. I highly recommend Dr. Nolan, but be advised that it could take over a month to get an appointment with him. I had one major issue with his practice, however. As a new patient, I feel that I should have been informed ahead of time that if I wear contacts, and needed to have my contact prescription renewed, I would have to make a separate appointment to see somebody else in the office, and that there would be an additional charge of $125 for that exam that insurance does not cover. When I called to schedule the appointment for my contact lenses, I was told that I would have to bring a copy of my medical records from the last doctor who prescribed me contact lenses. My question is if I’m going to go to my last eye doctor to obtain copies of my medical records which I’m going to have to pay for anyhow, why wouldn’t I just order my contacts while I’m there? Once again, Dr. Nolan himself is a fabulous ophthalmologist. Hopefully someday soon, he will read think the contact lens policy.
The front office intake woman and the woman technician are the absolute worst! They have zero personality and can’t stand their job. I’m a new patient well former new patient. Being a new patient I was expecting hello welcome to the practice. Instead I got I need your license and insurance card. The. I need your credit card. Awful awful way to start. It gets better. The woman who preps for the dr is worse. She explains nothing assumes you know what she’s doing and could not be bothered. I never got to see dr Nolan because after having my eyes dialated and treated like that I walked out. Prior to walking out I told the tech just how bad she treated me. She didn’t care. With such an important part of the body the eyes- she was terrible. I drove home eyes dialated and could hardly see. Don’t know if dr Nolan is any good but if the office staff is a chip off the old Block and you don’t like being uncomfortable and treated so poorly stay far away from this practice. BTW I was referred to this practice from my concierge primary dr. Whom I will be contacting to explain this awful experience and request a new eye dr. Stay away and find a better ophthalmologist. The absolute worst experience !
with much frustration and disgust i am writing this less than 1 star review.. beware and stay away from this dr. nolan. while his credentials may be above satisfactory, his ethics are below humane! my medicaid poor brother went to dr. nolan and was told he needed extra measurement for two eye cataract surgery and this extra fee was not covered by medicare or medicade and additional 300 $ was an out of pocket expense. out of my pocket. i paid the additional monies. the surger was done on 1 eye and the second eye scheduled for months later. twice the second surgery was postponed. after january 1, 2025 while in the office; my brother was then informed the cost of the surgery for the second eye was to be an additional $975.00!!!! he was originally quoted $600.00 for both eyes. the 11th hour he was told that it is now $975.00 because all of the doctors in the south florida area are charging this!!!!!! Of course, he did not continue with the second surgery while 4 months had passed since the first eye done. Today he receives an additional bill of $124.00 for hospital charges! what kind of scam is this???? buyer beware!!!!! read all the other negative posts regarding the attitude of the front office. we read dr, nolans credentials prior to going to him we should have read the negativity of the front office personnel. a direct reflection of dr. nolans chachter. he does not deserve any stars. i will take this complaint to the medical board the better business board and the local t.v.station STAY AWAY
